Default OBX 4-2-1 Header?

Anyone have any experiences with those OBX 4-2-1 headers? They seem to be fairly cheap but how do they compare to the popular DC and Strup ones?

I might just pick one up if they're comparable.

Thanks in advance.

Well I don't know about how they are for scions BUT every person I have ever came into comtact with that had OBX headers hate them. I know that for the first and second gen nissan altimas they are HORRIBLE. Bad weld, fitment problems, and a HUGE problem with cracking. I know of a few honda guys that have had the same problem as well. IMO go for the DC or the Strup.

I am so tempted to buy this header cheap or whatever it looks good, probably a cheap knock off of the MMW...

I know a guy with a 94 canidan civic coupe, bought the 4-2-1 obx, installed, drove around the block, installed stock back and within 1hour of recieving product ordered a custom 4-2-1 header, for $500 more but whp gains were far, far, far greater and welds were perfect.

Bottom line: Don't settle for some cheap header to cut a corner and save a few bucks. This goes for any performance part, if you are going to do it, do it right the first time.

Oh, i run Dc Sport 4-1 and love it.

Just remember: 4-1 you lose bottom end, but re-gain and then some top end.
4-2-1 you gain all throughout the power band, but generally smaller increase on top end vs. the increase on lower-mid rpm range.

Only company with a 4-2-1 right now is MMW, at least thats all i have seen. I don't look at obx..ever.

Cya and good luck.

Well the OBX 4-2-1 came out well before the MMW 4-2-1 header, but it doesn't really matter cause they are both ripping off the 5zigen 4-2-1 header. Funny, you probably thought MMW actually came out with something original.

Look familiar? Yea, 5zigen^^^

when you see a soda can at wally world I seriously doubt there is a wal-mart plant making actual wal-mart products lol its all rebadged and made by someone else

networking products, car products...its all like that

Well the reason you would want to do that is if you lived in California then the cops wouldn't harrass you to death when you get pulled over.

Two items to thing about for CA residents

The stock exhaust manifold is a tubular, so I don't think a cop could tell the difference??

My DC Sport Header came with a CARB APROVED sticker.

funny you mentioned this.

about oh 6months ago MMW or Weapon R whoever...contacted Charlie Westrup of Strup to ask him if he would run off headers for them so they can sell them under their name. He declined and they went elsewhere looking for another header to put their name on.

so the story goes
