Default just installed KNN CAI

just installed my CAI and just wanted to know if i should expect some abnormalities during the first few days of the install. as of now, i have observed that the way my car idles is ifferent when i had the stock air box. also, why is it that it makes a ticking sound??? i checked it out and i think the ticking sound is coming from the air vaccum. should i be worried about anything? also, is it safe to drive with it while raining? i thought the KNN can be used either as a SRI or a CAI?

If you didn't already, reset your ECU by disconnecting the ground for a few minutes (leave a door open to drain the power instantly). After a few days of driving it'll be more tuned for your new intake. The ticking was always there befroe. The stock intake has a couple resonators built into it to lower sound levels. Your new CAI does not, therefor everything is heard. Pull the vacuum line off and reconnect it if you're worried, and make sure it makes a tight seal. The lines aren't pressurized so it really doesn't need to be clamped too much. You can drive it during the rain, just don't go puddle hopping.

The ground is the Negative cable on the battery. But better yet, just disconnect the 20 amp fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay for about a minute than plug it back in and start your car, leaving it runniing for about 5-10 min and the ecu should start to get used to the intake.

as far as rain goes check my set up at the bottom of what i'm sayin. u really dont have to reset anything. it will do that in a few miles by it self. i dont like the ram option. only good in areas where it snows.
