Default my very first scion (tc) experience

its been almost a year since i owned my car, its its been a fun 28k miles. i just want to tell a little bit about my first scion (tc specific) experience. i live in utah, and i would say around Dec/Jan of 03/04, i started to notice a boxy looking car. and the first time a saw it, i admit i did a double take. then i tried to read the emblem but i was like"scion"? wtf is scion? then i thought someone had it imported from across seas. its looked to me like a JDM car or something (it was technicaly lol). i saw this car from time to time. fast forward to june of 04. my job sent me to sunny San Diego. well since i was more interested in the beach than working i found myself cruising down to Pacific Beach with a co-worker (shafted work for the day) after i parked, we started walking towards the beach. well there was a store (almost grunge like but not) and they were holding a test drive for Scion. If you test drove it (or rode in it) you got a choice of a hat (black mesh which i still have today) or a T-shirt. They also gave you a gift card worth $10 or $15 for that store. ( i got a T-shirt in there)
So we took a ride in a TC (i didnt have my license on me cause we were just going to go to the beach and i left my wallet in my car) and all i remember is thinking "man this is a pretty cool car. i remember asking if the "eyebrows" light up like the BMW cause they looked like they did, and he said no, so i thought that was ___ to be honest. but i liked the styling and the interior (but i hated the grey) he then went on to tell me how i can get thing financed with the car (but he told me i can get ALL the accessories financed i.e. intake exhaust and lowering springs etc. buti later found out you couldnt). well we then went to the beach with our new hats (i colored the scion emblem black on mine). fast forward to Jan. of 05. Im back in PA visiting my family when i go to the mall (Toyota dealership acros from it) i saw the TC out front and decided to take a test drive in it cause i didnt before. man i loved it (even though it was a auto and had pinstripping on it) well as soon as we got back i was sold. i ordered mine with the factory fogs, in SSM (i wanted black but they didnt have any in 5spd at the time and said it would be awihle before they got any on the east coast). My birthday was in 10 days (26th), and i couldnt have gotten a better B-day gift.
I was at a girl i was seeing house, when i got a call from the sales guy. "hey man yoiur car is here but there s problem" "WHAT?!?!?!" " yea, on the boat it got dented and were going to have to fix it". so im flipping out at this time. he told me to come down tomorrow to look at the car and to see if i still wanted it. he said if i didnt it would be a couple weeks till i can get another one. so the next day i go down (sleeves rolled to do some damage lol) and when i pull in there it is (even had a red bow on it) my car. HE WAS MESSING WITH ME THE WHOLE TIME!!!!! so i rush in, and just wanted to punch him for joking with me like that. but i was the happies guy in town at that moment. it still had the blue saran wrap (sp) on the wheels like i said ( i wanted all the factory tags and everything on tyhe car so I can take them off lol) so we i get into my car, i hit the stereo cover and "WTF?!" theres no stereo in there. he said it got jacked on the way over (he was kidding again) he said since it was 5pm the service dept was closing and i would have to come back on monday. so i said ok, and went to the finance office to sign my papers so i can leave. when he pulled it out, it had my stereo in the once empty hole. now i felt complete. but there was one little thing i had to do before i left the lot...... remove the dealership sticker, and theTC emblem lol. just wanted to share my scion experience woth you guys/gals
