Whocares05050 11-03-2005, 02:11 AM why are you yelling/ whats with all the caps?
To answer your qustion- I think there is 1 or 2 people on here who do, but i dont think 2 many people have the full kit with the s-pipe, because that just came out from them i believe 2 weeks ago.
Kenshin 11-03-2005, 02:43 AM I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE HAS ALL THAT MEGAN RACING STUFF, I PERSONALLY DONT THINK THEY ARE THE BEST COMPANY OUT THERE BECAUSE YOU CAN FIND MUCH BETTER QUALITY, YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY A CERTAIN BRAND ALL THE SAME TO GET GOOD RESULTS>

How's the sound? I have the new version on order and I am curious as to how loud it sounds with the header. Should I buy a high flow cat or resonator ahead of time?

I would get a resonator for sure... Did Megan release the new version? Ive been trying to contact them for a while now... The exhaust rasps just like any other header/exhaust combo on the tC im probably going to add another resonator to mine...

under8seconds 12-31-2005, 10:32 AM What?! WHAT DID I MISS?! What?
S-Pipe... okay.
Well here's the deal, the S-Pipe's have a weird deal with them. We've been having this flange issue lately where the flange kinda has about 1/4" of piping sticking out past the flange. This is done on OEM because it lets you eliminate the gasket, and makes installation easier.
When I did the designs and sent the OEM sample in, I didn't expect the factory to make that damn 1/4 sticking out.
What can you do? Well... the fix is easy. Any exhaust shop will have a flange on hand that you can easily use as a spacer. You put the flange sandwiched between the S-Pipe and Mid-Pipe flanges and you use a gasket and the VOILA!!! It works.
This has been done and tested and is basically the option that you have with this setup. You can also have the 1/4" cut off... but that's just hard to do and time consuming.
There will be an updated version, but I don't know when that's coming in, we have to purge these out first. Is there anything wrong with them other than that? Nope. They work fine.
Many people use an O2 Sensor spacer to prevent the CEL. But if you do that, then the end of the O2 sensor will hit the chassis, so you'll have to use an O2 simulator if you're also using a De-Cat header such as the Megan Header.
I'M SORRY FOR THE DELAY AND BEING SO HARD TO GET A HOLD OF.... D1 killed me and I was on break for a while. BUT I'M BACK! Working with Paul (good man by the way), TC Motorsports, and Kevin from Nor Cal to get more parts out to the TC community and work out all the bugs.
THANKS FOR THE PATIENCE GUYS!!
^Thanks for the update.
Interested in hearing the megan racing exhaust on a stock header tC...
Anyone?
WeDriveScions 12-31-2005, 04:19 PM ^ If only any O2 sims actually worked.....
I tried them all, no deal..... yea for antifouler... not a CEL since....

I just wanted to bring this thread back from the dead to say that this is not true.
I have 2 anti-fouler's installed on the end of my O2 sensor with a catless megan header & s-pipe and it doesn't touch/rub the chassis in anyway. There is at least 3 inches in between the end of the O2 sensor & the chasis.
When I saw this it almost stopped me from buying the megan header, but I just wanted to let everyone know that it is false.
galyion 08-28-2006, 11:51 PM i just ordered the whole megan racing exhaust it will be in on thur so ill post a clip then
