Would anyone be interested in coil overs from Daiyama for our cars?

They made a proto type set for one customer and said they wont make anymore unless some interest was sparked.

Here are some specs:
Front 4k, 220 mm free length, inverted oil tube
piston rods' diameter is 12.5mm
pistons' diameter is 36mm

Rear 3k, 215mm
up-right oil tube (separate spring)
piston rods' Diameter is 20mm
Pistons' diameter is 35mm

The damping is geared more for street than for racing (on the more
comfortable side).

Check out DGTRials.com for some info on their producs, and the only current US importer of Daiyama.
I've also been talking about a group buy, and the pricing we've come to is very nice.

Price thus far is 1050 a set.
spring rates should be: 4k front - 3k: rear

I'm still waiting on a reply for the mix/max drop height.

Color, is fully polished billet strut assembly, adjust rings, and pillow mounts. with black powdercoated springs.

The look is what first atracted me to these coil overs. I have a race set on my accord, with the upside down strut assembly for very stiff low stance. and they were not only good looking, but very durable, and got the job done!

4KGf/mm is pretty stiff man.. for a scion especially. the rears are pretty good, but yeah, i'd get em to drop the fronts to around 3.5KG..

otherwise, i'd say it sounds goo

very interested in the min/max height settings...

curious as to the min/max drop just to see if it is competetive with cusco and others i am considering.

it's CCK type also for NCP30.

Note the adjustment spec below -- +/- 12cm (and more for front) is almost 5 inches. Now I'm not sure how much of that is actual real-life usable adjustment, but it seems like you could literally slam the car to the floor with this kit.


What do you guys think? Anyone up in the NY area could definatly meet up with Erik.
For the price and quality, I think it's a great deal.

if you could verify the drop specs, and some actual road test findings (hows the ride?), i would be very interested in the set up.

would a group buy get us a better price? say 10 folks or so...?
