Default So uhm.... how much dose an xA Fender cost? Pics added 11/15

I had a bit of a problem this evening while I was out testing the I/H/E combo that I just finished working on. Needless to say I need to have some body work done now, gawdammit.

Does anyone have an idea of how much the front passengar side fender costs for the xA?

Pictures have been added below. My poor car.

rockauto.com has fenders for the xA. I've ordered from them many times.

Good luck,
E

well stock xb fenders are like 160.00 so an xa fender should be very close to that figure as well.

Thank god for insurance.

Went to get my estimate done today, and between the damage to the body and suspension plus paint and labor total repair estimate is $3043.52

I will only have to pay 500 of that.

Well, as I said I was out testing my I/H/E combo. I was on rather twisty road and came up to a hill at 45MPH. The hill was on a 60 degree turn to the right. I crested the hill and there was a pothole at the top. I missed the pothole with the front wheels but hit it with the back right. The car lost traction slid to the left, I over corrected a bit too much and it spun back to the right but the rear of the car was in a ditch and from there it slid across the street and struck a telephone pole with the front passenger fender and wheel.

The fender has a nice big pole shaped dent in it and is missing a good deal of paint. The bumper around the wheel is gouged and most of the under side of the bumper has deep scratches. The passenger wheel has been pushed toward the passenger side door by about 1 inch and the fender liner is pretty much chewed up from the tire. The doors have some decent scratches and the rear passenger door has some very deep gouges by the bottom of the door.

My body shop will be replacing the suspension components, fender and fender liner. The whole passenger side will be refinished including the bumper, and the hood will have the paint and clearcoat re-blended. I will also be having some dents fixed on the drivers side doors as well.

My car is a mess. *sniff

Yep you have the best xA on NRG for now. That will last a week, maybe two, and then I will be back to wipe the floor with the competition.

Well I said I would provide some pics of the damage so here we are. It may not look that bad but the camera did not pick up all of the paint damage on that side of the car. I have also removed the fender liner since the tire decided to eat it for lunch. The car goes in on the 28th and I will also be having some windows tinted while it's in there! :D

I will be finding out about the suspension today. I will be spending some time removing the strut and inspecting the components for damage. I will report back with my findings later this evening.

Well, I spent most of the afternoon doing some investigating. Good news to report. TRD makes some damn good struts. The strut is perfectly straight. On the other hand, the item that is causing my wheel to be pushed backwards, is the Lower Control Arm. The secion of the control arm going from the hub to the rear of the car is bent quite a bit, its supposed to be completly flat but it has quite a curvature to it.
