Muhahaha...jk...anyways, I was on my way to class this morning at around 9:00 a.m. of the 60 West...when I spotted 2 other xB's cruising...I got over and beeped at both of them and they beeped back...we continue down the freeway following each other and we are getting so many looks from other peeps...I figured that this would only go on for a few miles or so...wrong...we had our little scion cult following each other for a good 20 miles..it was so sweet...I led the pack most of the way, and the funny thing was that we all got off at the same offramp...gave a final honk...and then we all went different ways...

I love my box so much, and I would not trade it for anything...We had so many people looking at us that one guy almost rear ended the guy in front of him...this is why Scion is da sheet...this is why this box kicks ___...

BTW, who were the other two peeps? There was a Thunder Cloud Metallic, a Polar White, and of course my very own Blue Onyx Pearl...

Anyone else had a random experience like this? Not something planned, but random...It was so much fun to just randomly cruise with peeps you don't even know...mind you this little adventure cost me to miss my Advocacy and Argumentation class, but I would venture to say that it was damn well worth it...and I would do it all over again if I had to...

experiences? just people not paying attention to the road and almost side swiping me :shock:

it can get nutty out there, we had a canyon run during the summer and had 50 plus cars with us. the stares where everywhere.

Haha..on my way to class this morning I spotted a polar white...and then i saw a black cherry...it was pretty trippy with 3 xB's on the freeway.

yeah me and one of the xB's from Function Garage ended up driving next to each other for a few miles... just the other day...

a couple months ago, as i got on the 60 fwy, i saw another xb rolling by so i sped up after it. as i came up on it, coming down the next onramp, another xb merges on the fwy. it wouldve been cool to cruise together a bit but the last one was goin slow as hell. :P

and a couple weeks back, i spotted steve (bbist) in my rearview on the fwy too. he passed me up and we rolled for like a couple miles.

This type of spontaneous Scion run happened to me last Thursday on my way home from work. Going from W. Los Angeles to the valley I saw 2 other xBs. The three of us were cruising together in traffice for a good 10 -15 minutes.. before the leading xB (Polar White) looked like she kinda freaked out that there were 2 of us following her down the 405. She started speeding up and took off.

If she is here on the forum.. sorry.. didn't mean to scare ya. :oops: We just happened to be going down the same freeway together. :D

That's funny, I had a similar experience the other day. Was heading out to Walnut Creek and saw a Thundercloud xB as I was nearing the Caldecott Tunnel. I didn't speed to catch up or anything but since I was there and traffic was rolling, I just dropped in behind her and followed. I enjoy it cuz I get to watch a Box rolling, as opposed to rolling in my Box and plus it probably makes people go WTF twice... Hope I didn't freak her out...

If anyone on here has a Thundercloud with a sticker on the back that said "California" and has a Tweety bird sticker and was getting followed by a Camo Box, that was me. :)

two days ago I ran across another black xB, while cutting through Monterey Park, and I think I spooked him, he took off with the quickness, but when I caught up to him, I gave him a thumbs up, and rolled away...

it seems like a lot of scion peeps get spooked. ive had quite a few take off on me when they see me trying to catch up to them, when all i wanna do is say whats up. and those who come up from behind me, look away once i look at them and they take off.

this morning a camo xb w/bronze rims and a bbist.com sticker was passing me on the 60 fwy. i know he was lookin as he passed by me. but when he got right next to me, i looked over at him, and he immediately looked away and drove off without even a nod. oh well.

not like theres a written rule about acknowledging each other on the road.. but if u have the time to stare, might as well wave/smile/nod...whatever.

Maybe people think we're trying to challenge them or something. I was next to some guy in an IS300 that had some mods going on. He made a few moves trying to catch up thru traffic and when he did catch up (and it was obvious he was trying to catch me) he wouldn't look over and just kept mean mugging, lookin str8 ahead... :roll:

I try to give props to anyone that takes pride in their ride. I guess to some fast and the furious is a reality... or so they think.

12 xB's, 4 white, 3 t-cloud, 1 lava, 1 camo, 1 blue, 2 cherry, on a Friday night, flying up and down Blanding like a swarm of bee's... sounds sweet and look's every sweeter... stopped ot a stop light...go figure...light turns green...12 boxes dart off the line like a 5th grade whimpy kid running from a bully, swerving everywhere, running people off the road all while the music's setting off alarms...that's what East Coast Scion does for our meets...no pics tho...but boy is it fun

Nothing can beat the 50 Scions we had going through Carbon Canyon for the Canyon Run from Brea to Scion of Glendora...that was badass... :twisted:

I followed spider13 from this forum down I485 for about 20 miles on our way back from a meet we had on the July 3. We both have nearly identical BSP xB's. I noticed alot of people we passed turning their heads to see the 2 mystery cars passing them. It was cool.

I was coming back from the fireworks tonight in uptown Charlotte and had about 12,000 people give my car looks and some people were shouting at me too. It took about 1 hour to go 2 blocks and 40,000+ people all walking down the streets back their cars. So I got ALOT of looks.

for sure Blue, i had the first scion in my neck of the woods and i made sure i beeped at everyone i saw, now i have a train horn so they better beep back! but seriously i made sure evryones friendly, heck ive gotten free breakfast at some old ldays house that had a XB.....i love scions and the people. couldnt be happier

We had a nice following with 11 Scions rolling into the VIP event yesterday. Pics can be seen under Photo Booth, under my thread IKONLORD has posted them. They are still new here in the North East, and at every light we rolled through, there was at least 2 people with this look on their faces ... :shock:

If it's a cult count me in! in my area i'm the only box within 60 or so miles you must travel 100 plus miles just to get to the nearest scion dealer. I love being the only one around but realize it won't last long. Its funny watching people pointing and staring as you go by, it's like being in a fish bowl. not to mention having a crowd around your box when you get out of church. :D :D

I wish I could roll with some xBs. In one year, I have rolled up on exactly two and they were both going quite slow.

I always like to roll up on other boxes on the road and give a nod, some look some don't.

I got a "peace" from a tC driver today as I was driving back to work from lunch with a buddy in the car. He had just finished asking me if fellow Scion owners would wave at each other and I told him "yeah" but he couldn't believe it when it actually happened. LOL pretty cool I thought.

I gave the "peace" back, BTW. No reason to be a dick.

i must be nice every time i spot another XB the drivers are old Farts. I swear the other day they must have been about 80 years old .
