Default New toaster.. need a man’s advice.. boys need not apply !

Got my XB yesterday... am excited to have it… take a look and let me know what you think...

Not looking for a fashion statement but definitely these rims have gotta go... never liked a rough ride... and as for my car 17" is probably too much for me... thought maybe 15’s or 16's.. but am open to suggestions..

FYI: Have $1K to drop on new shoes... but not looking for anything w/ too much testosterone in the build...want something classy but understated.. any suggestions for female rims?? Any help you guys could give me now would be remembered down the line..

This wheel would look nice on a TCM.

those pictures are extremely small. I think the Works would be good, but aren't they a little more than 1000?

(The forum software will only believe a URL leads to a picture if it ends in .gif or .jpg - since your URLs don't, it assumes they are not pics.)

For $1k i personally would:
Springs (if you want to go pretty low, tanabe DF210s is what i ride on)
Take hub caps off and go with trim rings to hold you out for rims later.
Header
Exhaust
And if you have money left over, CAI. If not, save money.

That is a better start imo than buying rims. However, if you do want to go with rims first im probably going with 16'' ATS Cups. 4'' Lip, classy, JDM tuner look without over-doing. Looks good, but not too showy.

^ Theres pictures of my box to show you the DF210 drop and the trim rings. I will be taking day light pictures after another wash sometime this week. But, yeah.

Good luck with your ride!! And welcome to SL.

Here's a picture of my rims that I think are classy looking but definetly not over done. They are 15" and lighter than stock. They look like what a nice factory alloy should look like. The color is great with the TCM.

I got them from tirerack.com for $63 a rim, so it was about $320 shipped to my house and they were here in 3days.

Axis wheels...most of their styles...or I like the Rota's in 15"......actually it just depends on the style of tuning you like

you could also go to www.tirerack.com you can pick different wheels and pick your car color and also different wheel sizes and see exactly how they all LOOk on your box..ive always liked that

i think so many people see a wheel and say OH COOL and just grab it and slap it on...and it may not truly fit the car/color/style (my own opinion of course) not saying thats bad either, just sometimes you end up looking a someone ride and saying....HUH??

Konig Helium. My 19 yr old son has had these on a Civic for a while. The 17 inch is too fragile, IMO, since the tires are going to have to be very low profile (very little sidewall to protect the rim). His 17s have several dings in the rim.

The 15s look great, have a great reputation among the Miata autocrossers, and are extremely light weight. Not terribly expensive, either, you should be able to get them for under $100 each, plus shipping. You might not even have to put on new tires, just swap the current ones on (not positive about that, though)

I'm 6ft., 210 pounds and 37 years old....so hopefully I can be considered a "man", not a "boy".

I've got the ASA AR1 in a 16x7, silver finish, 16.8 lbs, with a 205/50 Pirelli P-Zero.

Nothing "tuner" looking about them....just clean and classy, IMO.

BTW, ASA is a division of BBS....so the quality is top-notch.
