Default God I Love The TC

I thought I would share my enjoyment with all you fellow scion folks since you are the only ones that will understand.
Yesterday I get to enjoy my first Sunday off in about 4 and a 1/2 months so I decided to take the tc to get her 2nd oil change. I went to the local lube express by my house and as soon as I pull into the driveway everyone stops what they are doing to see who is pulling into the driveway. I get flagged to pull into 1 of the bays.. As I pull in (there are no other customers in the place) everyone starts running over to look at the tc... There are about 5 -6 guys working there 2 come running yelling ohh sh** thats that new scion yo them sh**s are hott.. Me in the driver seat laughing my butt off because they are all acting like my tc is the first tcs to ever roll into the place. Next thing I know 2 other guys are beasting to pop the hood and I'm being fired a barrage of questions about the car.. What was supposed to be a 10 minute oil change turned into a 25 minute job because all were too busy talking about Scions. The manager was telling me he is going to trade in his Mazda protege for a tc. My tc isnt really all that much to guawk at its stock looking, and was filthy yesterday.
However I got to tell you I love getting this kinda attention from a car its a great feeling about your purchase. I had a 2002 Celica Gt kitted up with all sorts of extras and didnt get half the attention I see with the Tc.. Just thought I would share my fun experience to others who would understand..

Thanks for reading and post up any stories of your own..

Random old men?
The car?

You sure about that one?

Honestly, I don't get that much attention around here. A couple people have asked if I'm stopped somewhere, but it's rare. I still maintain that these people wouldn't know a nice car if it ran over their big toe.

Yep, I too used to get barraged with ?s when I first got my tC. Now, they are all over the place here in town! (Except mine looks the best though! ) The other night, I was leaving a Fresno State Fooball game and stopped at a stop light. A CSM tC pulled up next to me and honked. Me & my girl looked over and its like this late 50s, early 60s lookin' guy and his wife all waving at us like we knew him or something. It still amazes me just how much appeal the tC has. Peeps from 16 to 60 are driving one.

P.S. Am I the only one who notices the Scionlife clock hasn't adjusted to Daylight Savings?

People stop me all the time. The girls I work with all want to drive it. Everyone stares it down when I drive around campus. One guy even stopped me in the grocery store parking lot to ask me how much my paint job cost (Black cherry pearl). I almost didn't have the heart to tell him it was from the factory. But I did.

That's a PHPBB thing. A lot of forums are like that. I keep mine set to -5 (EST) from now until spring and then change it to -4.

yeah, everytime i go to a restaurant, I always park it where it is save (i.e. next to handicapped parking) and always visible from the inside of the restaurant. so many people stopped and looked at my car. So many people didnt believe me when I told them it costs 17 k and it comes pretty much with everything lol. Plus the RS1 rims always make people look also.

Thats true I can spend a whole day washing and detailing my bcp tc and I prolly get 3 days worth of cleanliness out of it. But that and the super thin paint coatings are the only things I hate about my scion..

I drove my tC up to Montreal a month and a half ago. They really don't have Scions up there, so as soon as I parked I had people coming from up and down and across the street to gawk at it. Had to stand there and answer questions for a while.

Here, a hundred tCs can roll by. Onlookers will keep looking on for something interesting.

In the off chance someone notices a tC, he or she will think "DAMN, there's ANOTHER person with my car."

whenever i tell ppl i gotta scion, they usually think i got an xb or an xa, and begin to tell me how ugly they think they are. When they see my tC, theyre like daaaaammn! lol. Many ppl have no idea that scion has a third car. The best of all three, in my opinion.
