View Full Version : Skydive meet?
I know this is coming up on a time where everyone will be financially hurting...but would we have enough people wanting to jump out of a perfectly good plane for a thrill? I did it twice back in June and it was incredible and have wanting to do it again ever since.
For every extra person we bring the cost gets lower and lower so the larger the group the better, and there is a discount for paying in cash and another discount if you're a student. I was able to get the cost down to around $160 for a jump when i did it.
I'll give the link to anyone that wants to check it out but its a good place, my friend that skydives all the time and is certified said its a good company.

lvnurs9 11-07-2005, 09:15 PM Im really not up to jumping out of airplanes
I dont wanna meet her ------> http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_55.gif
at least until I am a great grandmother
RockBlocker 11-07-2005, 09:27 PM u first
I already did do it first, as soon as i landed my friend was right there from her jump and asked if i wanted to do it again...so we got right back in the plane again. I got the video from them to prove it :-p, and i went to the same place that i gave the link for above.
I don't believe you'd be meeting angels if you did it, but i understand for those that don't want to do it. I have a friend that will act like the toughest guy you know, but he won't even get on a roller coaster.
Xb_Stud 11-07-2005, 09:57 PM I would love to do it. But I already agreed that I would do it with my girlfriend and I don't have the money right now. Since you are a thrillseeker, do anyplace to go bungee jumping in arizona. I know at one time you could do it at the Grand Canyon, but not sure if they still do. It is a hard thing to find on internet. If you know anything let me know.
lvnurs9 11-07-2005, 10:04 PM Ya I am just not sure that I could do it.
I did manage to jump off a 20 foot bridge into the Yellowstone when I went to Montana to visit my grandparents and my cousin. Ya that was an experience.
But ya uh uh
mikochu 11-07-2005, 10:15 PM I know this isn't my region, but skydiving is awesome! I went a month or so ago and would not hesitate to go again. It's not what most people expect. I jumped at 14,000 feet. The freefall was a little over a minute and is nothing like a rollercoaster ride. It is like the floating feeling you get in dreams...or maybe in a pool *shrug*.
Every time I look at a clear sky, I think, "damn, it's a nice day to jump out of a plane." :D
Just an FYI, most tandem jumps have a personal weight limit of 230lbs.
yeah this place is 230 as well.
And i dont want to do bungee jumping, i dont think my back can handle that and i just saw a clip of a guy that had the rope wrap around his neck on the way back up. I'd rather just go one direction then up and down, skydiving is the best though.
Like i said though I know this is coming on time for xmas so we dont have to do it soon, but maybe start planning it for the beginnig of next year like January or Febuary. And alexis, if you're able to jump off a 20 ft bridge you can jump 14,000 feet out of a plane :-p
Sharpies_tC 11-07-2005, 11:45 PM I will hold all of your belongings from the safety of the ground :)
thats a ways to drive to hold my belongings but would still be cool to get more people out there even if they dont jump just to watch.
Matixten 11-08-2005, 01:31 AM IM DOWN!!!!!!!! I know I always been wanting to do something like that, I wanted to sky-dive into the grand canyon.
malina 11-08-2005, 02:50 AM HELL NO.

BlkSandPrlTurbotC 11-08-2005, 03:55 AM 230lbs??? Dang it! I better lose weight..... :(
Skydiving was the one thing I wanted to do out here
ScottsdaleTC 11-08-2005, 03:56 AM I will hold all of your belongings from the safety of the ground :)
I am with Susan, I want to take pictures of the expressions on your face when you land.
RockBlocker 11-08-2005, 04:25 AM I'm out. My fat arse wont make the weight limit
aww you too kelly...at least we have 4 now on the poll that will do it. I say it would work out best to try and do it in January if everyone isn't broke yet from the holidays, and it will give some people a chance to lose a few pounds if necessary
BlkSandPrlTurbotC 11-08-2005, 04:52 AM and it will give some people a chance to lose a few pounds if necessary
thank you  lol
moonray 11-08-2005, 05:02 AM Uuuum -- jump out of a perfectly flying plane? Naw I'm too old for that(heart failure
and the need to change clothes). How about something not quite so daring but still
involve's being up in the air? Hot Air Balloons? Just a thought. Good luck youngsters
and it will give some people a chance to lose a few pounds if necessary
thank you  lol
You said it man not me, I'm not meaning to offend anyone :lalala:
BlkSandPrlTurbotC 11-08-2005, 06:47 AM no offense taken lol.....i need to lose it! :)
eLeVenn 11-08-2005, 07:25 AM I would love to do it but i dont live in AZ. I already have some experience when i was an Airborne Infantry in the Army but never had a chance to try the civilian version of it. I heard it's more fun compared to the Army's static line.
Mooneyzs 11-08-2005, 03:37 PM I've always wanted to sky dive but Idon't have the extra cash at the moment
I don't have the extra cash and I am past the wieght limit too.
well for those short on cash we don't have to do this right away, if those short on cash want to offer ideas for a date on when this might work for them this could be a really cool event.
what about us Bubba's that don't make the weight requirement? They offer anything else?
actually if you go to that site, they do have a wind tunnel thing. you can put on one of those jump suits and be skydiving about 5 feet off the ground above a fan. I dont know if there is a weight limit for that but if you check out the site they might have it on there or you can call.
The wind tunnel is supposed to be cool as well but I enjoy the thrill of the actual jump so i'll be falling out of a plane.
ScottsdaleTC 11-08-2005, 06:42 PM what about us Bubba's that don't make the weight requirement? They offer anything else?
Yeah, a forklift.
BlkSandPrlTurbotC 11-08-2005, 06:47 PM what about us Bubba's that don't make the weight requirement? They offer anything else?

i still want to do this, we need some recommendations on a date or at leat what month to do this is.
