home installed
TRD short shifter. quick and easy
TRD exhaust. one bolt and two hangers, couldn't be easier.
rear wing. didn't much care for the measurements/template inconsistancy, but an easy install
DC strut brace. three nuts per-side, easy money
K&N cai, No problem
stock fog lights with a xA illuminated button instead of the xB rocker switch.
PIAA euro horns... damn, I love these horns.

bought the trd struts/springs from sparks toytoa (they rock) and had the dealer install them.

If you want to see how easy this stuff is to install, check out sparks toyota's web page. They have acrobat downloadable directions on all the parts they sell. look it over and see how comfortable you are with it.

Oh, the rear wing install. dont' do what I did and buy the two odd ball drill bits. friggin expensive. get as close as you can with standard drill bits then file or dremil out the hole to the proper size.

Did everything myself. So far anyway. I don't want to void the warrenty though....cause I know their picky as hell. I just lowered my box with Teins and just followed the guide in the tech section.....very easy. Next is some rims and then the exhaust, which looks really easy as well. So that will be done by myself. So far, working on this car is so much easier than my RX-7....its not even challenging.....

springs and struts were installed at a dealership. My local dealership quoted me a rather high price, so I shopped around at other dealers who would work with me on the price. What I mean by worked with me, is two of the three quoted me seperate prices on the spring install and the strut install. The third saw the stupidity of seperate pricing when half the labor for strut install was already completed with the spring labor price. Shop around on that one. again, I had already purchased the springs and struts from Sparks (low low price and great to work with).

The TRD exhaust was simple. The exhaust only has one bolt and two hangers. A little WD-40 on the hangers, loosen the clamp on the exhaust and it falls free. The TRD bolts directly back up with no bending of the hangers. I was worried that there was going to be some bending involved to center the exhaust tip with the bumper, but it was perfect right out of the box.

The TRD DOES NOT come with a new crush gasket for the clamp. I highly recommend purchasing one of these prior to the install. The old one may work fine, but once it's been clamped it will comform to the shape of the original joint. Using it again will once again attemp to crush and comform what has already been used. It's small insurance for longevity a trouble free install.

Again, the old one may be fine for some folks, but I'm of the mind set that I'm already there, might as well do it right the first time. Besides, who wants to deal with a exhaust leak sometime down the road when it's not so clean and easy to unbolt.

I dont know anything about working on cars, but I read the tech help section and felt confident in trying.

I installed Tanabe DF210 springs by myself (with the help of my wife for the compression of the front spring). Then I proceeded to install a DC Sports exhaust (in the dark and with no help). It was actually quite easy. I didnt break anything or lose anything.

I am very pleased to have done it myself and saved quite a bit of cash going that route as well. Now I think I have caught the vehicle modification bug.

Mine came with mods already, but eventually I will do some myself, have help, and if those two options fail, have a place install it, depending on what it is.
