What kind of MPG are you all getting in stop and go city driving? I'll be buying an xA in January and was hoping I could get around 34 or 35 for a paper route I do every day.

Ken xa-minister 11-10-2005, 06:25 PM generally between 29 and 30, but that's with some pretty agressive driving now and then jct 11-10-2005, 09:37 PM when i kept my foot out of it i musterd up a 37mpg for city drivin!!! neotim 11-11-2005, 01:13 AM I just did my first fill up on my '06 xA... I got 32mpg on the first tank. It was with 90% city driving. lalagimp 11-11-2005, 03:05 AM I honestly have no idea. most all my driving is mixed because it seems like you can't get anywhere in SoCal without hoping on a freeway for a 20minutes- 2 hours.... But it takes you 20 minutes to make it through the city to get to the interstate. neotim 11-11-2005, 10:51 AM You probably won't get 34 doing a paper route. That requires a lot of stops and slow driving through neighborhoods (I had a paper route when I was a kid... I used a scooter and got about 75mpg!). i_think_therefore_scion 11-11-2005, 02:39 PM I can drive like a punk and still get 32+ MPG in 100% urban driving. kente777 11-11-2005, 04:50 PM You probably won't get 34 doing a paper route. Right now, I get 24 mpg in a 1990 Nissan Maxima (V6). I should be able to get over 30 in the xA. At least that's my hope. Ken hodad66 11-11-2005, 10:15 PM Just under 32 in an "06" with roof racks and AC on most of the time... :) http://static.flickr.com/29/45387152_1770b5366c_m.jpg |
