 haha 8 out of the top 10 are made by toyota!! BMW snuck in the other 2 spots. So the 10 hottest models are made by just two companies!

Hard to find only in certain places . . . they were all out when I was shopping for them in NJ, but when I moved to Florida I had no problem getting one exactly to my specs. And I see them all over the place down here (as opposed to once every six months or so).

The wall street journal runs that column about once a month. Back in June they covered the tC:

From July 14 2005:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB112130026342985273.html

(That's a pay site that sometimes has free access and sometimes doesn't.) Here's the info if the link doesn't work:

tC was in 2nd place but they covered it...

most popular color: blue (I really figured silver)
top model traded in: honda civic (well, duh)
average down payment: $4465
average monthly payment: $334
APR%: 6.94%

Buyers age range: 16-35 is 47.9%, 36-55 is 39.5%, 56+ is 12.6% (no surprises there - a lot of these "buyers" are buying for their children)

55.8% male, 44.2% female (still no surprise when you consider how many buyers are purchasing it for their children to drive)

im not so sure about that, so many tC drivers ive seen around here look like theyre in their late 30s/early 40s. alot of the scions are going the same way as so many other youth oriented cars- older people see the practicality and value and like them too, and have more income than kids so they buy more.

:nope: In my case I gave my son a Saturn and ordered me a xA. :P Growing up in the 60s when individualizing and tweeking your car was the norm, Scion allows me to relive the days when the car was king. Unfortunately most of us had to grow up and give up our passions for the economic realities of family life and the 9 to 5 grind. Now us 'ol farts can play again!! Look out kids, granpaw's got a nitrous kit!
