every day I wake up and open up the link to this site. I am never logged out so I never see the login screen. I usually click "my posts" at the top of the page and look to see which ones have been updated since my last visit. I have been noticing for the past week or so that topics I have posted in will be updated, but that litle bell icon to the left isn't blue (indicating recent activity since last visit).
is this a known bug? I havent made any changes to my system whatsoever.
still comcast cable/firefox browser.
thanks.

Hmmm... we have a bunch of little bugs in the login system.... and each little patch I do creates another problem. I am going to have to overhaul the entire system in the near future to make everything work. You're just gonna have to live with it for now.

Ok, its not that big of a deal.
I was more or less just curious if it was happening to anyone else besides me.

The more I visit this site, the more this becomes annoying. Is this not happening to anyone else, or just myself.

Am I the only one with this problem?

I've seen it on rare occasion, Dave, but not all that often.
For me it looks like the server is suddenly considering everything as "read" for some reason, rather than remembering the legit states.

Ok, t hank you.
I just wanted to make sure it wasnt some wierd DNS server error or some configuration problem on my end.
Glad to know other similar problems are happening to others.

Yeah, like I said it is a bug in the system and in the next few months phpbb should be releasing their brand new forum software. I will be upgrading to it when it is available and that should solve all of the little bugs in our current system. I don't want to invest too much time trying to fix all the little things since that upgrade will take care of all of them at once.
Instead, I am going to concentrate on adding new features to the site.
