hey whats goin on guys? i was just wondering, i havent seen any dyno sheets of s/c and t/c xbs yet...or im just not looking hard enough...ive read that most ppl go with the s/c because of redline issues and such, but i want to know whats gonna put more hp down and help in 1/4 time the most...o i was wondering how much it runs to do the internals and who does it....im a new owner so im slowly learning at the car as i go along...but in time i think ill be ok...thanks for your help guys.

no diff in HP between the set ups.
no need to do internals yet...almost all internal work is custom.
look up the mini FI forum thread. for some inight.

from what i understand, and someone correct me please if im wrong...just seeing how much ive learnd so taking a stab lol
s/c - consistant power throughout the whole band
t/c - boost kicks in at a certain rpm/point and you get it from there
end results are same total hp (of course depending on which s/c or t/c) its just a different feel and setup

yeah... and if a turbo is sized properly, it behaves very similarly to the s/c in terms of being consistent power throughout.
so really, it comes down to your taste and $$$ in the bank. my guess is t/c will be easier to upgrade for bigger and better things.

s/c'ers are not constant power....
they are linear in power output. meaning as the RPM's go so does the power.
constant means it makes 25hp all the time (just used a number not real info)
a s/c will not really make boost till 1500 rpms or so...
a s/c will not overcome it's parasitic losses till 2500-3000 rpms...
(all depending on the pulleys.)
yes, turbos are far more upgradeable. they can require more time tuning and setting up.

My turbo starts to make power at around 2800 RPM and then has a real nice linear pull all the way till redline. Turbo's are very easily upgradeable, wether it be changing the spring in the external wastegate, or just adding a boost controller, everyone is addicted to turning the boost up :lalala:
As far as tuning goes, theres nothing more important than a proper tune, especially on these cars where its almost near impossible to tune correctly if you dont know what your doing, but we wont go into that cause thats an entirely different 20 page thread on its own :rofl:
Dont let someone tune your car unless its on a dyno and they know absolutely what they are doing :no:
