The Custom Message does not appear when the radio is powered on with the power button.
The only way to see your message is to leave the radio on when you turn the motor off.
Then, when you turn the key, the radio will power on and your message will appear for 12 seconds.
I hate to do this, I want to turn off ALL accessories and equipment like wipers before killing the motor.
