i'm thinking of getting an xB within a month and doing research on this forum. VERY informative by the way.
now i know scion has this fixed / set price which is haggle-free or so they say. but the fact of the matter is, i still want to be treated like a good customer and that they want my business. i went to this dealership near my house and it didn't seem like they want to help at all. i was quite disappointed. well, i guess they just lost a customer.
with that in mind, anyone in so. cal that would recommend their dealer(s) / their contacts who would LOVE to help and have a business. it doesn't mean that i want accessories at a discount or anything, although even better if some dealers are willing to do so or throw in couple accessories for good gesture.
thanks in advance :) -KC

Go PM Scion909 (Oliver). I think he's in Toyota of Glendora. If I have to do it all over again, I should have gone and buy my xB to him. He's a nice guy.

I got my '04 xA at Toyota Carlsbad, a good delaership, this is in SD though...I bought a "demo" car used on the lot for test drives. It came with tons of great x-tras, including cool lights, better sound, spoiler..Anyhow, the car had been on the lot for six months, they reduced the price by $2,000! Ask if any dealerships have demos to get rid of, they changed the price for me! Also make sure to ask if they use the car for runs (the employees may not be so nice to the cars used for parts runs)

Go to SANTA MONICA SCION and talk to Andy Carlson. The only thing you have to worry about is your credit. Never take the first offer. Get the intrest rate as low as you can, that what's not pure price. Good luck and have fun, if you want some help, I'll be glad to go down with you for the negotations.

Wow, that's super generous of you Jason. :)
The author of this thread is a good buddy of mine. He has a very specific
model in mind and it's going to take a couple of weeks (hopefully) for a local
dealer to locate but he's on his way to joining our community of boxes :P
He's looking for a new camo, 5spd., without the holes drilled for the front plates.
He's not really in a rush cause he's already got a couple of cars to putt around in.

hey thanks Jason. i've been sooo busy at work these days i haven't been concentrating on xB.
yea so far i'm not in such a hurry, and i'm also trying to think a second choice color if i can't find camo/manual/no holes on front bumper.
decisions decisions... such as life...

go to FRONTIER TOYOTA in VALENCIA and talk to DREW KATIGBAK, he is very helpful and is willing to go out of the way for you. As soon as he found out that they were getting in a shipment of manual xBs he called me right away and i bought the car within the same hour or so of it rolling off the truck.
Goodluck trying to get a CAMO that's MANUAL. that was my number one choice. out of all the dealerships i called..NO ONE HAD THEM. if they did have CAMO it was AUTO, and i wasn't settling for getting an AUTO. so that's why i got my 2nd choice..Black Sand Pearl 5spd :P
Frontier Toyota had all the colors except the Camo in manual  but anyway, Drew is the best salesman that i've ever dealt with.

Jason, with scion everything is set; the price of the car, accessories, and finance rates.....thats the whole idea behind pure price.

Let's see, the first "dealer" I went to didn't even want to deal with me. I finally went to the second guy who gave me the "payments" I wanted. The second scion I helped my sister buy and her husband buy took a few weeks but we got what we wanted. The next car I helped my friend with, we were in and out in two hours with everything she wanted and more for less than her husband's RS1. Different dealers do different things. As long as the dealer is playing fair and working for you from the beginning then there is no problem, but greed comes around and you're stuck there for days with smething you dont want...like a new corrolla.

dunno, i know we don't "throw" anything in, but we have a pretty good rep. you were kinda vague on what they weren't doing to help you. if someone wants free or discounted accessories, i politely tell them i can't do bussiness with them. i won't lose 30% of my allocation because of that. good luck to you, check the review system on here. although i think some dealerships have inflated their numbers with phony reviews....ie dealership A has many wonderful reveiws of customers who got their cars with nothing on them, completly base with nothing added.....yet everyone i talk to who goes there (have a customer coming in today from there) says every scion on the lot has added equipment upwards of $2000...true this could all be heresey, but why would a dealership even have a bunch of scions on the lot?
anyways, good luck to you. hope you can get the car, because they aren't gonna have that color next month.

I recommened John Elways Crown Toyota/Scion in Ontario. That's the best place I've ever been to when purchasing a car. I was in and out of the dealership within 1 and 1/2 hours from the test drive to trading my old Eclipse in and driving the XB home.
But make sure you either look for a guy named LP or Shaun in the Internet Sales Dept.

Verone is at Longo is the daddy mac, there is no doubt about that. Andy Carlson at SM is great too. If you feel like making the trek to San Diego hit up Frank Marquez at El Cajon, I worked with him for a long time and he's a great guy.
Oh yeah, Jason....there is no flexing on the financing, the interest rates through TMC are pure priced just like everything else.
