Default 2006 tC Recall?

Does anyone know if scion is going to be recalling the 06's for the rattling soudn that many people experience? Reply to this if you have the same problem as i do. I'm really curious to know an estimate of how many people are havng the same problem. This weekend will be my third time taking it to the Toyota/Scion dealer for repair. First time they said they couldn't hear it. So i took the tech out for a ride and he did. THe second time i took it in, they added new insulation and it is still rattling. Suggestions? Comments?

Most people have some type of rattles. I doubt they will recall for that though.

i took mine into the dealer, they "fixed" it by putting foam in there. It's even worse now...
If not a recall, then hopefully a service campagn or something...

i think they would recall the 05's first...

they only do recalls when it turns out to be a safety issue. your thinking of a technical service bulletin...take it to a different dealer or bring it back to the same one over and over until they fix it. rattles are no easy fix

I foamed up my rear and wrapped a few layers of tape around the hatch latch. Now my car is extremely quiet.

Reattles are hard to find and even harder to fix. If you have a problem with it be prepared for several trips to the dealer. You are probably better off just fixing it yourself.

News flash.

ITS JUST A RATTLE.

Its not a knife in your side, a bullet in your eye, a power drill in your ear. I can understand a little annoyance, but am I alone in thinking....

ITS JUST A RATTLE?

Seems like people are getting into frenzied mob mentality mode.

I hear the occasional rattle and want to start to complain, but I tell myself the same exact thing....it's just a rattle.

I found the rattle at the back close to the hinge which hold the glass...It's pretty annoying...I went to the dealer and they said that they need the car for at least 2 days to perform some test. I told them and I point them where the noise is coming from but they kept playing dumb...So I went to the service manager and yelled at them. I just had it with Scion and imma trade the tC with the new eclipse. That is why the car is so cheap.

The car is cheap because they are all made the same except for 3 things the tranny, color and side air bags. Also just like everyone else said ITS JUST A RATTLE!!!...Relax

The dealer fixed mine. Replaced the rear struts in the hatch and then replaced the glass panel for the sunroof. Something about the glue coming undone. All rattles are gone now.

yeah i have the same problem. mine is pretty bad because my tC is one of the first in the series. this week was my first time taking it to the dealership, they had to order parts so lets hope that it helps, but i doubt it will.

You are going to trade in a reliable car with a few rattles and a crappy dealer for a POS from a broke company with a long history of huge safety problems? Good call.

My rattles are all gone now because I just traded in the car today

To all the responses, "its just a rattle", you guys have obviously not heard a worse case tC rattle before. Otherwise you wouldn't be speaking such nonsense.
