Alright boys and girls. The time is drawing near for the event. I am hearing a lot of great things from the community and I hope that this as much fun as you will have all year.

Start time is 3:30 for the first car to roll out. Please arrive at the location at 3:00 PM for prestage
The drive time should take roughly until 6 PM based on your driving style and if you get lost along the way.

Meeting Point is on the road behind Camelback Scion.
Look for the balloons at the North corner of 15th ave and Pierson St.
You can also stop by the dealership to ask where the location is if need be.


I want to recap the requirements for you to begin the event


- Full tank of Gas, not required but recommended
- Co Pilot, not required but recommended

Money that will be required for you to bring
- One Dollar Bill
- Three Quarters
- 2 dimes
- 2 nickels
- 3 pennies

- You must bring one picture of your favorite movie star that is clothed and no larger than 8 1/2 x 11. 5 x 7 preferred. Black and white or colored is acceptable.

- Something to write with. You will need to write down landmarks for a prize to be awarded for those with all the correct answers.


Guidelines for the event are:

-You will be required to sign a disclaimer stating that you will be solely responsible for your actions.
- Each car will get a number assigned to it.
- Each car will leave 5 minutes apart from the starting point.
- Each car will receive your directions at time of roll off.
- You will need to make a Total of 6 stops along the route
- You will receive a card at four of these stops.
- The event will cover roughly 80 miles somewhere in town. Dont ask since you have to find out at the event. That is half the fun right!!
- Your Checkpoint stops will be clearly marked by seeing other Scions there and/or volunteers waving you down.
- You will get to draw one card at each location. Of course you dont get to see it first, LOl

We are still at 45 vehicles, but I am sure with everyone passing out flyers there will be a lot more that show up.

BTW, I will be at the other end with my laptop and memory card reader, I would like to have “copies” of your photos that can be posted on Scionetics and make disc for those who want them. We had to move up the time based on how many people are coming out and the ending point can start earlier than expected. No worries though. Not everyone will start at the same time

I was wondering what was going to happen with that, i figured out that if there were 40 cars and each one left 5 minutes apart it would take at least 3.5 hours for all cars to have started the run.

the folks who show because they saw the flier. The flier says to check out the
scionetics site but no where on that event post is the list of required things to
have with you when they show up. Most folks have some cash on them, but not
everyone carrys a photo of their favorate moviestar. Bryan maybe, but not anyone
else. I know their not going to be turned away because they dont have these items,
but are they still going to elligable for the prizes and other goodies? Sorry I dont
mean to sound like a party pooper, I was just wondering :lalala:

Well if they got a Flyer and didnt go to Scionetics, follow the directions or read the post. I guess they wont find us and dont realy want to be there.

Just been busy with work, changed jobs recently, and have been more focused on working and the house than I have been with the xA. Although I've done a couple new things to it (namely the custom smashed up fender :()

I still like you guys :) And besides, gotta represent the xA's at the Poker Run!

Has anyone figured out how long it will take for the (now) 50 Scions to roll out at every 5 minutes? That's 4 hours at 12 Scions an hour - - you might want to back it off to every 2 minutes.

Sorry to hear you have been sick.

So Glad some soup and tylenol turned my day around. Had a great time seeing everyone at one place...didnt plan on running into an important ex of my past though...guess she lives next to Avondale Scion. Anyhow Cant wait to *participate* in the next one! :D
