View Full Version : Pacific NW Ski/Snowboard/Tubing Trip.. Any interest?
niksmr2 11-16-2005, 07:38 PM So some of you may know that Henry and I are avid snowboarders. This time of year we spend much more time at the mountain than we do working on the cars,
Anyways at last week's Meet & Greet I was talking to Dustin about possibly doing a group trip to go skiing, snowboarding, tubing or whatever. Tubing might be better because it's cheaper, requires no equipment, and no experience whatsoever :P
Anyone interested in doing something like this? I thought it might be fun!

kkawana 11-16-2005, 07:41 PM hmm.. sounds like fun.... tho my weekends from now till next year are pretty full :(.... betwen work, SCAA's and holidays... but never know maybe some chance of getting a free weekend sooner than later
WeDriveScions 11-16-2005, 08:33 PM It'd be fun.... but I'm only game for Hood or Bachelor.... anything else is too far this season as my babies have been driven insanely too much this year...
Macster 11-16-2005, 08:56 PM I'm definately game. I need to learn how to snowboard again. It's been a while.
ohcanada_00 11-16-2005, 10:57 PM tubing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Macster 11-17-2005, 12:18 AM We just have to battle over what mtn. to go to now hehe.
It'd be fun.... but I'm only game for Hood or Bachelor.... anything else is too far this season as my babies have been driven insanely too much this year...
Bah!
I haven't driven my car since July, but I got it in Sept of '03. The last time I drove it was was at just over 51K miles. That's in about 1.75 years. hehe.
Anyway, I'd be interested in maybe going up there with people. I'd probably want to catch a ride with someone though. Not sure I totally trust the crx to make it up there.
andersg 11-17-2005, 01:31 AM Tubing sounds fun, but I would have to vote for Govt. Camp on Mt Hood.
kmcniece 11-17-2005, 04:07 AM I'm game, wherever..... it may have to be at the beginning of next year. I think we are all pretty busy......
Adorian 11-18-2005, 10:21 AM Im down. It would be awesome to bust out with my new scion bored.
WeDriveScions 11-18-2005, 06:17 PM Government camp is tiny...
I like white river pass, near meadows on Mt. Hood... the tubing area there is suicidal!!!!! more my kind of game!
I'd be game to ski someday again too... miss the 'ol times.... But Hood or Bachelor are the only mountains for me...
ratcityrain 11-20-2005, 02:50 PM I will have to agree with you there.. I love mount hood... done some intertubing there & snowboarding
sheep 11-21-2005, 03:18 AM Count me in to. I'll be glad to make it to this. I head to just about any mountain though someone needs to teach me how to snowboard............
niksmr2 11-28-2005, 07:01 PM I was thinking that Snoqualmie might work best, since its pretty easy to get up there....even in somewhat inclement weather.
Tubing times and prices can be found here:
http://www.summit-at-snoqualmie.com/info/winter/tubing.asp
Anyone who is interested: if you can look this over and post what day/time would work for you....I will try to get something together. We may have to do it after the holidays, since I know that schedules get a bit hectic for all of us this time of year!

sheep 12-03-2005, 06:40 AM I think the later time is better since I am a late sleeper and all.......
niksmr2 12-05-2005, 04:52 PM Oh and I just thought I'd mention for all you skiers/boarders:
Participating Shell stations are giving "ski free" vouchers with an 8 gallon fillup. Info here:
http://www.skiwashington.com/shell_2for1.php
Its only good on weekdays, so it doesn't do me any good, but maybe some of you can make use of it.
Chris05tc 12-10-2005, 04:22 AM Sounds awesome count me in I don't care tubin or boardin
jasonlm429 12-14-2005, 12:10 AM Hey, that sounds like fun..... Put my family and I down for being available on 1/15/06 Sunday...
