Default And another one bites the dust... *PICS NOW*

Well, today I came across a deal that was too good to pass up.

Traded in:
2005 Indigo Ink Pearl Scion tC, 12650 miles
Custom iPod hook-up
S2000 antenna
3 year/36000 mile warranty

The new ride:
2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, 16450 miles (Fusion Orange)
3.8L 3800 Series III supercharged V6
260 horsepower, 280 lb-ft of torque with 28 mpg (hwy)
Leather
Head-Up Display
Trip Computer (including compass, fuel economy stats, warnings, etc.)
On-Star
Traction Control
8-speaker Monsoon sound system
17-inch chrome wheels
4-wheel disc ABS brakes
5 year/85,000 mile warranty

Net difference: $2,477.00
Difference in monthly payment: $14.00
Difference in insurance payment (monthly): -$12.00

It's been a fun ride, but it's time for me to go back to my Grand Prix roots. I've missed the power, the ride, the luxury. Good luck to everyone, I'm outta here.

(But I'll probably still be lurking...)

You'll be back.

But seriously, nice trade. Im surprised the difference is basically non-existant.

Enjoy your ride.

Thanks. What really surprised me was that the insurance is CHEAPER on the GTP.

So, ummm, why didn't you list all the goodies your tC came with? To make us (or yourself) think you got a great deal? I mean, you got the 17" chrome wheels listed as a 'goody' the Pontiac has, but Uhhhh, the tC has that 'goody'.

I'm not bashing you....It seems like a good deal, and a lot more power, but I didn't buy mine for the power anyway.

As long as YOU'RE happy, more power to ya!

Anyone on this board already knows what comes standard on the tC. Chances are the OP didn't want to waste his time typing it all out again, hence just posting the mods he did.

thats because they do not have to pay as much if you total it . GTP values goes down in value like a korean car.

Hmm. Its an American car though. Personally i'm never going to buy an American car. But good for you.

The only car that would entice me out of my tC would be an STI...

Great statement to say when you're not even old enough to smoke.

BURN!!

Oh, and a1cusaf was also right about why I didn't list the goodies on the tC, everyone here knows what they are. I just listed the mods.

Nice ride, congrats. Keep in mind though, that the GTP weighs about 800lbs more than the tC, so the extra power doesn't equate to a much faster car. Definitely gets the tC on luxury though. Once again, nice car! I hope you enjoy it.

The GTP is a nice car. I'd probably pick it over a tC as well... lol. Plus, insurance for domestic cars is cheaper!

You didn't mention it, so I guess you probably didn't want to say, but I'll ask anyway: how much did you get for the tC?

there is little difference in the net price b/c its a GM vehicle and holds no value. as for the 5 year 85,000k mile warranty, you will need it. that car MSRP sales for over 30gs...and there is only a little over 2,000 dollar difference? NOW THATS FUNNY g/l with it, i'm strickly for imports pz1 joooooc
