im staying in a hotel in midtown, and my good friend here also has a TC, his is Stock, and i noticed last night when we were driving out to Jersey to this bar, That his Stereo light's "the amber" is so much more brighter then mine is... and i have mine turned up to its highest point, and so does he... Also my car only has like 7,000 miles on it, his has like 48,000 Why is mine not as bright?

is that kinda odd?

iv noticed this before with other Tc's my lights are way dimmer then other's

and i know about the button to turn it up and down, its always up high, but not as bright as other's...

Weird right?

 

Yeah, wierd that he has 48,000 miles on a car that is only a year and a half old.

Wow, I didnt realize people put on 40,000 miles a year on their cars.

Who are these people?

 

People who aren't on because they are driving.
People who drive a lot for work. People drive round trip 80-150 miles for work. It adds up fast.
For the lazies...150x5= 750 miles / week = 3000 / month = 36000 / year. I know that may sound extreme, but it's within reach.

 

People who commute every day.

 

did you have the parking lights on or something, cause maybe they dim if there is a load on other lights.

 

i've had mine 4 months and put 2800 on mine. i got it when it had 3 miles on it. Where do you drive to put 40k on a car thats a year and a half hold?

Dude, I know why.....you're missing 41,000 miles in your car compared to your friends. Get that mileage and perhaps your lights will get brighter.

Are both of the radios the same model?
Or is one a model '04 and one an '05?

 

Are the rest of the dash lights just as dim?? Maybe you can turn the dimmer up that is in the far left gauge

 

Try taking your buddies radio and putting it into your car and see if there is a difference in the radio's.

its an 05, there was no 04 tc model..

i turned the dimmer up and down.... and it dosentchange it, and No its just the radio, not anything else..

 

mines almost a year old and i only have 9800 miles on it. i thought i was gunna be putting more but my work is only like 15 in away so i barely put any

 

Try punching it a couple of times, maybe you'll make it work brighter by scaring it!lol, no, but try contacting your dealer, it might be a problem with the HU itself.
Off topic: i really hate the amber color, dont you?
