View Full Version : Cheap Wheel Alignment?
CatalepsicFox 11-19-2005, 06:12 PM Hey guys... you know where is the best and cheap location to get a wheel alignment... I will lower my car soon so any suggestions... I prefer locations between Oakland and Fremont please. Also give me quotes if you know the prices I want to set up my budget as accurate as possible.
squirrel 11-19-2005, 07:00 PM I go to Auto Innovations, and a 4 wheel alignment is $60.
There is also Motorpsort Techniques in Hayward, but I'm not sure how much Jack charges.
CatalepsicFox 11-19-2005, 07:15 PM where is AutoInnovations located? have a address or website that I can goto?
I need to look up motorsport techniques.
CatalepsicFox 11-19-2005, 07:18 PM well I just called ..... motorsports techniques... he said 85 since my car isn't stock bc I'm lowering it. Lowering cost more he said.... =/
CatalepsicFox 11-19-2005, 07:24 PM Auto Innovations said 80 .... Well I guess I save five bucks.

Steve and Orlando are the owners and do not charge a "lowered car" fee.
They do all of my work, even with the camber on my lowered xb, and on my lowered Matrix.
squirrel 11-19-2005, 07:26 PM Oh yeah, tell them Brad, from 886motorwerx, sent you.
squirrel 11-19-2005, 07:27 PM The xB is only $60, maybe its because of the adjustable rear lower control arms on the tC?
Tomas 11-19-2005, 09:46 PM The tC's suspension is MUCH more complex than the xB's, so I can understand the extra cost quoted.
(And the factory specs require the vehicle to be adjusted to stock ride height...)

To adjust the alignment on a lowered tC must require some sort of aftermarket tables or charts.

let me know which place you're going to. i need to do mine too...i'm leaning towards auto innovations since so many people here vouch for them.
squirrel 11-20-2005, 12:10 AM Maximus, C2 Automotive in West Oakland on 7th Street should be able to do it also. Will is a good mechanic also.
nethack4ever 11-22-2005, 08:38 AM I just took my tC on TRD springs into Auto Innovations for a mount and balance of new rims/tires and an alignment. Orlando was professional and courteous, and the job was done right. I'm taking my other car back there for an alignment once I get some time. Worth the drive from wherever you are.

That's why I've been going to them for over 10 years now.

Would you recommend this place for general maintenance? I'd like to get a tune up on my box before I drive it to Oregon next month.
O5_TRD_tC 04-04-2006, 05:38 PM Can they fix a my negative camber due to coilovers?
James! let me know when your going!

haha me three... I been needing it for awhile but I keep forgetting
SquallLHeart 04-05-2006, 12:05 AM if it means anything.. i can vouch for auto innovations as well.. :)
schwettynuts 04-05-2006, 12:08 AM I would spend $150 at firestone and get lifetime alignment. You can get an alignment for the lifetime of your tC!
CatalepsicFox 04-05-2006, 09:35 PM ^ American Tire Company has the same kind of promotion I believe.
hnefrdo 04-05-2006, 09:44 PM I wish I would have known that America's Tire had a lifetime aligment plan. It's a good idea to get one.
Try to stay away from Firestone, though.
schwettynuts 04-06-2006, 12:08 AM Yeah.. but american tire company is always busy.. Will take more than 1 hour for 30 min job. Firestone is good.. why do think they are bad? Because of their crappy tires? You are not buying tires from them.
CatalepsicFox 04-06-2006, 02:09 AM ^ I'm thinking of the tires myself...
superscionik 04-09-2006, 09:25 PM Yah, my friend is most likely the one who does the alignment at Auto Innovations. His name is Jamie (Portugese dude w/ glasses), and for anyone who goes tell him Darryl sent you. The owners are pretty cool, and they even do some professional racing.
stankubrick 04-09-2006, 10:32 PM ^ American Tire Company has the same kind of promotion I believe.
America's Tire doesn't do alignments. If you get tires from them, it's just free lifetime balancing and rotation.
donger 04-10-2006, 03:57 AM i know of a place that does it for 40 bucks. pm me if you want to know where.
KenzokuXB 04-10-2006, 05:48 PM Anybody know of any good places in the East Bay that can do an alignment?? Live in Vallejo.
SmokingTires 04-19-2006, 01:06 AM Well I called auto innovations I think I'm heading over there tomorrow and then to the mini-meet, I dont know whats wrong but I can't keep the car straight on the freeway and it shimmies at 80mph. The damn car is brand new practically...
