View Full Version : Christmas/Birthday/Install Party!....Dec 10th and 11th!
FrankenScion 11-19-2005, 11:59 PM We are having a Christmas/Birthday Party on Dec. 10th and an Install Party on the 11th.
That way anybody who wants to come from out of town for the C/B Party can stay the night and be there for the Install Party too. :)
The Christmas party will be the Dirty Santa gift exchange type. The price for gifts will be set at $15 and under. If you do not wish to participate, for whatever reason, you do not have to. But, we would still like you to come.
The Birthday Party is pretty much for everyone who has a Birthday in Dec. Including, but not limited to, Shannon, James and Jaquetta. Gifts for the Birthday people are not encouraged. We do not want everybody to feel obligated to buy gifts for everyone that has a birthday, we are just going to celebrate their birthdays.
Post up if your birthday is in December!
The party will start around 7:30 PM. We will provide snacks, but you are more than welcome to bring snacks and beverages of your own.
The install party will begin when ever we get out of bed and eat breakfast on Sunday. We will be cooking out on this day. We will provide the meat (I'm good at that... :) ) But, we would like people to bring dry goods such as buns, chips, etc.
Parts to install so far:
Kevin's (Tulsa) lowering springs. (We finally get to lower a tC)
Cathy's (Dallas) new lights.
Hopefully something of mine.
Post up if you have something you would like to install.
This is open to all Scikotics, or potential Scikotics, from everywhere.
And, if it wasn't already obvious, it will be at my house in Broken Arrow, Ok. We have lots of floor space and some bunk beds, couches, etc.
We welcome everyone into our house. :)
Jon and Jaquetta
P.S. As always, we are open to suggestions.
Ginski 11-20-2005, 01:13 AM You forgot to mention my birthday on the 17th. :(
shortbus05 11-20-2005, 03:43 AM if i can get them shipped fast enough, we can install my billet grilles
FrankenScion 11-20-2005, 05:21 AM I didn't forget, it's right up there between Shannon and Jaquetta. :lalala:

all4degame 11-20-2005, 04:00 PM wooot woot.. partys going to be a blast. And Jon, spring compressors from autozone dont work on the rears because there are too many coils. i think we'll have to run to pepboys or something to use a wall compressor.
FrankenScion 11-20-2005, 04:13 PM Anybody else got any input on lowering a tC?
I don't mind running to Pep Boys in needed.
firstkingofbeer 11-20-2005, 05:59 PM i call the couch in the computer room!!!
FrankenScion 11-20-2005, 06:09 PM It's kinda little, but done!

all4degame 11-20-2005, 11:08 PM Thanks for ordering the stuff Jon, I appreciate it.
FrankenScion 11-21-2005, 12:27 AM Ordered right after you left.
Can't beat that free shipping.
BATComm1 11-21-2005, 05:00 AM We gonna need any tools to rip this Tc apart..I mean lower this nice Tc... :lalala:
all4degame 11-21-2005, 06:05 AM i think all we need is a spring compressor and someone that knows what they're doing.. other than that, I think Jon has everything under control no doubt.
FrankenScion 11-21-2005, 11:05 AM
:silly:
Spring compressors can be fun. I had pair of compressors, on a spring, "snap" together. Unfortunately I had a flap of forearm skin between them. It took way too long to get out of that one. :P
firstkingofbeer 11-21-2005, 05:54 PM hey you dont post very much on here. lol did you finally get you xB?
all4degame 11-21-2005, 11:22 PM Spring compressors can be fun. I had pair of compressors, on a spring, "snap" together. Unfortunately I had a flap of forearm skin between them. It took way too long to get out of that one. :P
I call jon to use the spring compressor :lalala:
FrankenScion 11-21-2005, 11:48 PM  :nope:
I say the person who's car is getting lowered gets to do it.
trebor 11-22-2005, 01:38 AM Spring compressors can be fun. I had pair of compressors, on a spring, "snap" together. Unfortunately I had a flap of forearm skin between them. It took way too long to get out of that one. :P

BrideOfFrankenScion 11-22-2005, 09:59 PM :P You should come up and celebrate. You'll have a place to stay. Cathy is coming from Dallas.
FrankenScion 11-22-2005, 10:28 PM Gerald might be coming too. We'll put up as many as we can but, for those that want a bit more comfort, there is a hotel fairly close.
gjpjr84 11-23-2005, 02:30 AM hhhmmmm...........
actually I think something scary is gonna happen to me that weekend :nails:
must wait and see........
Big_Vdub 11-23-2005, 07:02 AM I get the garage couch again, it sleeps pretty nice when you are f#$%ed up . How much load are on these springs. It must be a whole lot more than an xb if you need a compressor. All I used on my box is a 375 lb guy to push them down. Then zip the nut off with an impact. Speaking of which, do you have a good air compressor? If so I have some pretty good air tools we can use.
FrankenScion 11-23-2005, 11:13 AM I actuallu don't have a compressor.
But, if we can get something to put it in, we are going to borrow Brad's.
BATComm1 11-23-2005, 01:46 PM Yeah, if anybody has something to haul it in ( truck ) I have an upright compressor on wheels ( craftsman ) that we can use.
firstkingofbeer 11-23-2005, 05:23 PM if my car is running by then i may be driving it up there and we can load it in my car.lol
FrankenScion 11-23-2005, 10:27 PM I got something to install!
I'm gonna fix my left rear brake light that everone keeps telling me is burnt out.
:silly:
firstkingofbeer 11-23-2005, 10:32 PM lol its about time!
trebor 11-23-2005, 11:53 PM Thank God!!!! It's about time, need help? :rolling:

FrankenScion 11-28-2005, 01:45 AM Cool.
I was thinking of buying some filters, then we could do the cabin filter mod for those that haven't done it. We should be able to do everyone with just a few filters.
CBucher 11-28-2005, 01:47 AM That would be cool.
crazy_kat_matt 11-28-2005, 04:03 AM ANYONE HAVE XB FRONT HEADLIGHTS THEY WANNA DONATE TO THE MATT KATAKURA FUND?! OR ILL BUY THEM lol. that way i can come to the install party, and oven the b**tches, and stuff

Yeppers. Actually, it was sitting at my house on halloween, but could not get hand controls installed until the following Tuesday. She now has a little over 1500 miles and I'm pleased as can be. I'll make the install party and do hope to secure some couch real estate. However, I'll drink less this time so I might be able to remember everything. Odd visions of stroking an ostrich are still haunting me. :silly:
BTW, no I didn't lose any foreskin due to the spring compressors.... It was a cool injury though as it looked like a snake bite where the springs touched together on each side of a fold of skin.
victorromero 11-29-2005, 06:39 PM I should be making it out there. Just trying to get my work to finalize my day off. Can't wait to meet everyone up there.
firstkingofbeer 11-29-2005, 08:01 PM Odd visions of stroking an ostrich are still haunting me. :silly:

FrankenScion 11-30-2005, 11:10 AM Grab it, hopefully I will have some eletronic stuff to install as well.

firstkingofbeer 12-03-2005, 05:27 PM I've been wanting to do that too.
Everyone clear on the Dirty Santa gift exchange part of the party?
What are you talking about?
jarrod 12-03-2005, 05:44 PM i will probably come to both.. no use making the 3 hour drive home so early
FrankenScion 12-03-2005, 09:07 PM It said in the first post that it was a Dirty Santa gift exchange. :silly:
Dirty Santa gift exchange is where you bring a wrapped present (no more than $15 in cost) and you can't tell anyone whats in it. Then we will draw numbers to see who gets to go first. The first person picks a present and opens it in front of everyone else. #2 can then either pick an unwrapped present or steal #1's present. If #2 steals #1's present, #1 can then pick a new present. Each present can be stolen twice. But, you cannot immediatley steal the present back in the same turn.
It is generally very fun, especially when people bring unusual gifts.
BATComm1 12-04-2005, 12:28 AM Ok Jon...I ordered the lights about 10 minutes ago..they said in an e-mail 2 to 5 days for delivery !!

What is the quickest way to Broken Arrow/Tulsa. 75 or 35/44?

If you are actually in Dallas the quickest way is to take 75 through Sherman.
People might want to bring sleeping bags and blow-up mattresses if you have them. We're already down to floor space........lol.
We have about 8 parking places at the neighborhood pool around the corner if we need them, we'll be fine on parking.
I have a fairly large garage heater that I need to dig out, but ya, we will need some warm clothing.
We might end up having to install some stuff on Saturday too, so the Dallas peeps don't get home to late. Any volunteers to come over Sat. afternoon and start installing stuff? I can be off work by 2:30 at the latest, possibly earlier if needed.
This is going to be fun. :)
CBucher 12-04-2005, 01:55 PM I'll help however I can. If nothing else I am an extra pair of hands.
FrankenScion 12-04-2005, 02:08 PM Sometimes that's all you need.
Guess I will have to go organize my limited supply of tools this week.

BrideOfFrankenScion 12-06-2005, 02:30 AM  I hope it is good weather. It is supposed to snow here on Wednesday and maybe Thursday. But hey, this is Oklahoma, the snow will be gone by Friday. We usually warm up right after a snow. The forecast so far is dry and a high of 45 on Sunday -- not too bad if it is sunny.
KndsGirl 12-06-2005, 06:25 AM Wow I am so impressed with the outa state interest. TX you guys get so much Oklahoma love!!!!! Makes me anticiapate TX car shows even more i.e. HEATWAVE..... KndsGirl 12-06-2005, 07:04 AM BTW When I was at the Garden of Angels "stuff your scion" event this weekend stick 1NZ introduced me to a member of the Squid Racing Team aka Dallas police officer who looked at my lights and said that the ones along my the side of my car are TOO VISIBLE  , so I may need to have to have them moved in a little bit. :lalala: :lalala: AND I will have an extra set of multi colored light kit if anyone is interested for their ride for a decent price :lalala: :lalala:

FrankenScion 12-06-2005, 11:51 PM 41st and what?
If it 8525 E. 41st it shouldnt be too bad, but its about 20 minutes from my house. But, for that price I would say it's worth it. :)
And, it's not like you don't sleep with your Glock anyway. :silly:
Driver_Lost 12-07-2005, 05:13 AM Ya, thats the one That place or motel 6 on Garnette is $34.00

FrankenScion 12-07-2005, 11:07 PM Warm?
CBucher 12-08-2005, 01:02 AM I'll be there saturday around 1 or 2 if the weather permits. So I will help any way I can.
FrankenScion 12-08-2005, 01:11 AM Awesome.
I'll try to get off work around noon.
Hopefully the roads will be good. Right now it is very white outside.
all4degame 12-08-2005, 01:41 AM Wow, snow in my tC sucks. I was slipping going in 3rd gear. But does anyone have a spring compressor i can barrow? The ones from autozone dont work on my rear springs because it has too many coils. I was planning on going to pep boys to have them use the wall compressor but they said 30 bucks per spring.
I have most of an old diesel mechanics set so its a pretty good variety of tools. I can show up at noon Saturday and bring one case and and a small ammo can of stuff. As long as it does not require standing, I'm willing to help with whatever needs to be done. Need a set of ramps or a pair of jack stands? Also, what is the address again and can you PM with some food or eating supplies to bring.
BrideOfFrankenScion 12-09-2005, 12:46 AM The highways are fine. There is still snow on our neighborhood streets but it will be gone by tomorrow. Your drive here should be smooth.
The weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday is sunny and low 50s by afternoon. That will be awesome.
FrankenScion 12-09-2005, 12:59 AM Now thats a hot weather girl.
firstkingofbeer 12-09-2005, 01:55 AM DAMN she should be on the news as the weather girl. i would watch the news more often
FrankenScion 12-09-2005, 03:21 AM Btw, the Dirty Santa gift thing is just a name. It doesn't have to be "dirty".
Although, it can be. :lalala:
CBucher 12-09-2005, 03:51 AM Been trying to figure out a gift that could be for male or female. Dirty or Not!
BATComm1 12-09-2005, 05:07 AM HEY JON !! Lights came in today !!!!!
Big_Vdub 12-09-2005, 07:33 PM I will try and get there early as well. I have to wait for fedex to show up before I leave. Bought a header. We'll see if does anything for me.
all4degame 12-09-2005, 10:21 PM Anyone have a spring compressor and can be at Jons on saturday? I'm not sure how i'm going to get the rear springs on because the ones at autozone dont work for the rears. I don't have the cash to pay 30 a pop for the rear to be compressed at pepboys. HELP FELLAS!!!
FrankenScion 12-09-2005, 11:36 PM We'll figure something out Big Kev.
Hopefully. :nails:
CBucher 12-10-2005, 03:26 AM Okay, everything is a go so I will see everyone tomorrow afternoon. Me and Kenneth are heading out around 6am and will be there after we check in at hotels and stuff.

FrankenScion 12-10-2005, 11:02 AM If anyone has spring compressors, bring 'em. If everyone that has a set will bring them I'm sure we can make something work.

FrankenScion 12-10-2005, 09:09 PM We're halfway through lowering the tC.

crazy_kat_matt 12-11-2005, 12:51 AM LOL i sure as hell didnt need a spring compressor when i did mine. USED MY WEIGHT! lol!
FrankenScion 12-11-2005, 01:17 AM xB's are a bit different when it comes to lowering than tC's.
Much easier.
But, we're done now. :relief:
crazy_kat_matt 12-11-2005, 01:18 AM haha that, and i h ad really soft springs, so i could just put my weight on it to compress it for the fronts.

God knows I would have been way too lazy to do it. My header arrived about twenty minutes after I left to go up there. I will put that on tomorrow I guess. Can't wait for New Year's. I don't think an install party would be a good idea on that sunday though :silly:
Big_Vdub 12-12-2005, 04:06 AM Also it was very nice meeting everybody. i hope everybody made home safe and without problems.
