i tried this already...our intakes have that lip on them which really doesnt work with the 3" bypass valve. Also, there is not sufficient space between the two intake pipes for the bypass to function. I bought one from Jegs, for use with AEM intakes only. it didnt work dude, just convert it to short ram. it may be possible to modify the bypass by cutting off the part of the pipes what have the lip so that there is the correct pipe diameter and sufficient space for the bypass to function. I think its a waste of fifty bucks, just convert it....the intake sounds meaner as SR anyway.

I have the Injen CAI...I also bought the AEM bypass valve and it wont fit unless you cut a couple inches off of one of the pipes where you would convert to the short ram. I havent tried cutting yet and i dont think its worth it. I would just get a hydroshield from injen.

naturaly the pipe has to be cut a lil cuz u r turning the bypass in2 a universal part. hydo covers restrict airflow.

uhh.... i would have to say duh? and besides... injen doesn't have a heat shield that i know of. heat shields are meant to keep the engine bay's heat from coming into the intake, but then also you may have problems with heat soak anyway (the intake pipe can absorb some heat) it's not significant, but some people are picky.

i wouldn't worry about hydrolocking, but if you want to be extra careful leave the black plastic cover (for the faux air vent) on and buy a hydroshield, which is a cover that goes over the filter which helps to prevents water from getting sucked in. and good ones don't restrict airflow (contrary to the previous post)

in all actuality, water won't get sucked in unless you submerge the entire filter in water.... which requires a really BIG puddle and your front end is basically underwater.
