anyone know if we can "turn off" the annoying traction/stabilty control beep that happens when driving hard? the last thing i want mid corner is a freaking beep coming from my car when i'm concentrating on properly finishing my corner. any fuse or something i can unplug to stop the beep (not the actual control).

I guess there is a way to do it .. but I'm not one to find out. IF you remove or turn it off and get into an accident and the ins. company finds out you "tampered" with the system, they will void the claim and you get butkis....
So if ya do it... don't tell anyone...

Wow,
How aggressively do you drive? I have never been able to make the car beep.

There must be a harness near steering column that has a wire (which you would cut) which goes to the alarm. Check out the fuse box too.
If you had a service manual you'd be able to find it in no time, otherwise it'll be a b1tch finding it. Why don't you just turn the traction off?
Probably same beeper is used for lights on warning as well as seat belt and open door so disconnection would not be good. You definitely need a service manual.

Even with the traction control off, the stability control still works... atleast it beeps... I tested this in a snowy parking lot last month...

haha. well i've never found it difficult, i believe someone mentioned you just have to go over .70 g's to make it beep... anyways, now that i have some really sticky tires and stiffer suspension, i can make it beep at will.
service manual is a good idea -- i'm pretty certain it has it's "own" beep. if you haven't heard it, it's not like anyother sound the car makes (such as lights/seatbelt).

I've had it beep several times and its spooked me at first cuz i didnt know what it was. But if u remove the console that houses the the parking brake and shifter thats where the unit is so u could just unplug it and it would get rid of all traction controll and probably the beeping too.
