Maybe someday I can get a pic of me with Raja Bell, an NBA player. He bought the house across the street from me.

I met him once, by chance. Damned nice guy and very good looking. Beautiful wife even better.

Maybe I could get a picture of me with my back-yard neighbor. He's Colonol Sander's grandson. But not a celeb!

Damn, I've met so many real celebs in passing over the years. No pics! No pic of Gloria Estefan in that bath towel surprise meeting at the foot of her home's stairway. "EEEEEK" *she did not know the piano tuner was in the house*. No pic of Grace Slick, or Harry Chapin or Steven Tyler or any of the Bee Gees (damn, I go back, don't I!)

So! Kudos to you guys who have cameras always at the ready.

I will go out looking for OJ. He lives not far...

I used to see Robin Williams (Mork and Mindy lol) riding his bike around the city every now and then...whenever I saw a celeb, I never had a camera...now I keep one on me at all times :)

Darn OJ and darn me for not making it clear.. That house across the street is vacant. I met Raja by chance, just after Katrina.

I see this black buck climbing over the tall, solid-paneled steel entry gate (the house is a mini-compound). I thought "who dat? a burglar or..." But I -said-

"HELLO THERE! How you doing?" And he said:

"I can't get into my house until I get this gate to open. Do you know how to bypass the mechanism."

So I got this spare mini-tool kit from Home Depot here and fetched it over to the young man, whose wife that was sitting in the SUV in front of the inoperative gate (no 'lectricity then).

He introduced himself to me as "Raja" but I had to ask how do you spell that? I don't know Raja Bell.

"Oh!" says his wife. "He's from the Virgin Islands and so the lilt there is to make a "roger" into a "raja", so that's how he has this name. And the couple explained how they would be remodling the house and probably be living here before the end of the next summer.

I sure hope so. Raja was all smiles as I showed him how to undo the chain drive from the gate. I gave him the ten buck tool kit as a house warming gift.

I think he just signed a 20M/5yr contract? I think he's a pretty cool gentleman. He shook hands warmly, as did his mate and we look forward to being good neighbors. But I may never see him again for all I really know. I don't know why his online portraits are so sucky. In person he looks as handsome as any movie star including that juice guy before he went sour.

Not really sure I would even -want- to be framed in a photo with OJ unless I could rabbit ear my hand behind his head. Prolly kill me if I did that, though.

Raja? More fun, for sure!

No lime-light celebs on Guam. i do have a pic of me with Everclear when they were on Guam, i took them snorkeling (where i work sponsored them to come to Guam) but out of respect i cannot post the pics we took. The lead singer asked we didn't post any pics cuz his daughter was in most of them, and i won't be an a$$hole. Ohhh i wonder if i can find my pic with Lee "Gunny" Ermy (full metal jacket, Saving Silverman, Toy Story, and he does Mail Call on A&E) he came to Guam for a book Signing. where did i put that...

HEY NOW! Pauly Shore was actually a very cool guy. Very nice. Rudest guy I've worked for was Pat O'Brien. I have several pictures I dont even have online. Believe me... and I know you already know this, but celebrities are just like anyone else... just got lucky.

I am studying broadcast journalism and currently I am a freelance tv production assistant, so anytime something big comes to Houston you can bet I am working. At the NBA all-star game I met anyone famous you saw that was in Houston.... Oprah, Former Pres Bush, Jamie Foxx, .... etc etc ... all the players. I got Queen Latifah to say "hi" to my friend on the phone... she was pretty cool.

I was an extra in a restaurant scene on the TV show Providence, if any of you remember it. So I met a few of the cast members. None of them are that famous but it was cool. I didn't have any lines or anything, and you could barely see me. We had to sit at tables and pretend to be talking to each other and eating. I am from RI and they would tape parts of the show there, so me and my friend went down one day and they plucked some people from the crowd to be extras. I refer to it as my 1.5 seconds of fame :P

LOL, I used to work at G4 in the Tech lab and I met Big C a few times. He always referred to himself in the 3 rd person and had a couple of goofy guys following him around like his crew. In his mind he is just as famous as anybody else out there.
