Overall, I thought that scion exposed was a blast. The only 2 things that i thought would be great for next year are :

1. have some type of rope to separate the crowd from the ppl that was participating in the JAM the xB competition ( for better pics :eyebrow: )
2. Have all the xA xB tC parked separately so its easy to check out each others cars. That and it looks better on Sky pics.

Anybody else have any inputs or idea?? or is this a repost

i have to agree with your number 1. i was kinda disappointed at first about the no beer, but eh it happens and its for a good reason

i agree with all of your points.

and there were a couple of girls around you just had to go find them. and after the one got in trouble and had to go change, they were pretty much invisible.

There should have been a street class and the classification should have been better organized.

No offense to Mike, who won 3rd place in xB Wild, but there was no way in hell he should have been in wild.

It also wouldn't be bad idea to have awards for best paint, best interior, most innovative, etc.

I understand the no show girls and no alcohol policy. They were trying to keep it more family friendly.

Good point. There was a thread that was started for pre-party ideas. I don't remember anybody in that thread proposing we go to a 21 and over dance club. :eyebrow:

But, if you noticed, quite a few of us did not go to the pre-party. And it was partly because our under 21 members could not get in legally.

aw I feel all warm inside now. :P

the girl had some shorts on, they were a little revealing from what i hear.

none of oklahoma went to the club! we decided we would rather party with each other at the hotel!

thats what ____sed me off the most is the pre-party they asked us to post all the ideas and CHAD took it upon himself to do that.....

and what did the girl do to get in trouble....

and yes the cruise and after dinner should have been well planned we had a manager want us to leave cause apparently they only bought food for 50 peeps :eyebrow:

and better seperation of the cars had to wait for one guy to stop polishing his car so i could to crowded and had a lot of space to use....

but overall it was a great success

The girl had a super short skirt on and whenever she did just about anything you could see her cheeks and I aint talkin about the ones on her face and all she had on was a string.

I wish it could be on a Saturday, but I know the dealers are all open on Sats. I just think it is hard for people to stay the whole day if they have a long drive to get home and work the next day. Pre party was kinda cool if you went, but even Chad realizes now it was too limiting.
The judging of the cars is not that important to me, I know several people that did not come because their cars were stock. I could not convince them nobody cares.
All in all it was a blast for me, because my wife did not complain except she got bored with the Club Che pretty quick.

Overall I found Exposed to be quite boring. I mean, it's a great event if you are in a club and into showing your car, which is cool. But I could only take an hour of it and left. I didn't even wait on the food. I was surprised at the limited number of vendors represented. What I would have found beneficial would have been a hands on modification seminar, or as most of you on this forum have, an install party. You know, it would have been great to buy some cold cathodes or lowering springs right there and have some coaching as you put them on.

David it ia a shame you left before the food, cause it was superb. As for a hands on modifcation seminar, most of us on this forum have been helping each other for almost 2 years now. I have worked on a few cars and several have helped me with mine. The DFW Scion family is incredible, just post up what your interested in and I bet you will get help. Also there were hundreds of people that would have loved to discuss mods with you at the event.

i was kinda disapointed when the flyer said ''monster truck'' not big rig? i found that confusing to me... thinkin the jacked up xB would be there... but the limo looked nice.. an i agree wit more vendors..as well as more classifications. but this wasnt really a ''car show'' just a scion show by scion. an i dont remeber the chick who got in trouble.. but i agree it was a family/freindly event. an i dont drink beer....
i didnt go to the club either since clubbin isnt my thing.. i just chilled an did my own thing..

My suggestion for Improvement lets see:

1. Instead of just a tc hot laps they should have included an xA/xB lap course for those interested in autoXing their xA/xB.

2. Instead of completely tearing down an xB and rebuilding it they should have demonstrated all upgrades (for all models) and shown where in DFW you can purchase or have thing installed (i.e. the hook up for scion owners). I mean thanks to this event I now know where everyone get their graphics (SD  ) or some custom work done.

3. I agree more classes for show comps. (best speed set up, best interior, etc...)

4. For those into speed should of had a straightaway shootout (drag race anyone, we all signed the waiver), I mean not everyone is in it for the style only

5. Could of brought a portable dyno like at turner bash in FL so we could dyno our cars

6. Could of had an alternate venue for the pre-party not everyone their wants to hang out in a club (I can't drink for medical reasons)

7. The kenny tran booth could have shown what they could do for our xb's beside just pimping out their 500hp monster

8.Lastly, post party lets just rent out cozymel's event if the charge was five bucks to get in AYCE I would have gladly paid

But in fairness we all have 20/20 hind sight so to those who put the event together much respect to you I appreciate what we did have and even if you didn't make a single change I would still attend next year and take all the awards :P

pinoy, if you still have the graphics pm me for I am still intrested in gettin mines.

my 2cents................

ok from beginning to end.............

about the club thing (pre-party) or whatever to find a place for 18-up.......there are lots of scion owners under age....................more people at the place=more fun

classifications::::::::::::::been to few shows
they always have (((((((((((((((( STREET))))))))))))))))))))))))))) classs...... (you have to be street before mild..........
the longest drive award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
some interior, exterior, engine awards as well........

another thing for the cruise...........police escorts should of done a better job than that
POLICE making everyone drive fast it was cool but,,,,,,,,that is no fun to be driving and be taking pictures like that.....i believe i was driving on my 80's . when houston did it, everyone driving around 40+45 mph.....was fun and be able to
take pictures

BUT AFTERALL EVERYTHING WAS ALL GOOD..............

11-22-2005, 08:04 PM
I am with Nes on the cruise I think I was going 85mph at one point and the cop was telling me to speed up.

Also there needs to be a street class!!!

FrankenScion

Hell, Mike was doing 105 with a cop right beside him.

Probably wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been text messaging while driving in the middle of a convoy on the highway.

gjpjr84
11-23-2005, 01:26 AM
oooh that was so surreal, speeding like that and then having a cop tell you your still going too slow........

firstkingofbeer
11-23-2005, 04:16 AM
we were traveling way to fast and on multiple ocassions me and roger almost got ran into by other drivers. the cops werent able to get all the intersections blocked quick enough and there was one point were we had to stop very quickly going really fast and almost got smashed by Vaughn, but hes an awesome driver and didnt smash us. lol and then i remember that the cops would drive inbetween us and almost get hit by one of our cars. not safe

gjpjr84
11-23-2005, 01:08 PM
oops!

gjpjr84
11-23-2005, 01:11 PM
yea i noticed some actions by the cops that werent very safe.
did anyone notice the police SUV driving across the concrete median to get passed the traffic that was at an intersection we were passing.

I dont think they were expecting that many people to be there....
