Default How to get a RS 2.0 when they come out.

So, I talked to my sales guy at the dealership where I bought my FM tC this august. Other than telling me the color is Blitz Blue Mica (which wer already know), he doesn't know anything else. He also told me the usually get 1-2 at most whenever a RS scion of any kind comes out, which makes me cringe. I'm really digging the blue and want one, so the question becomes: How do I make sure they get one and I can get my grubby hands on it? If you've bought any RS Scion, share your story or maybe give a few tips as to how to go about it.

Thanks in advance

go to the dealer scion website, do an inventory search and select the RS package if it shows up, and try drilling it into their heads you want it bad

I think you emailed me at joseph scion. And like I said in the email last year we got between 10-15 RS tC's I'm sure we'll have just as many if not more this year. However, they did go quick.

When we decided to get my wife a xB, she said the ONLY color she wanted was yellow (RS 2.0). Our local dealer didn't have any and wasn't sure if he would ever get any. The nice thing about buying a new Scion, is that it doesn't matter where you get it. It's going to cost the same wherever you find it, and the warranty will be honored at any Toyota dealership. With that in mind, we hit the internet. We did Yahoo searches for Toyota dealers in all the different towns within a 2 hour drive from here. Once you get the name of the dealership, it's easy to check their current inventory. Within 30 minutes we found her a new RS 2.0 in Rockville, MD. It was a 1 1/2 hour drive each way, but we came home with it that very same day.

it took me a over a month of looking to find a dealership with an RS available. no dealership would order one because of the limited quality, etc etc. just check out dealers once it launches. but be sure to pick it up as soon as you see it. there were three RS1s that i found that were either sold the next day, or just before/after i arived. (i even test drove one that was already sold! good job bob baker scion! )

Thanks for the Info guys. And yeah, Jason, that was me earlier today. I think I emailed everyone in the tri-state area and within about 3 hrs drive of cincy (It must be noted, you're the only one who has responded )

I'll give you a buzz here today or tomarrow!

Solstice is ugly? You are the minority then . I think that car is sexy. If it was out when I was looking for a new car, I would have bought it instead of Tc.

I went to the dealership a few days after the RS 1.0 was released (they had no clue about it). But they found one for me. I doubt you'll have problems getting one.

I think the Saturn Sky looks way better than the Solstice. But the Sky won't be out for a few months.

on paper i thought so as well. in person it was fugly, imo. i'd describe it as if the s2000 and the Aztek had a baby.
