since the charge pipe is rubber, you need to customize a flange connecting any BOV you can get, but even if you do make sure you use the right spring.

there isnt any DETAILED DIY bov for the SC, if you do achieve on putting one, let me know how your car idles.

WHY do kids want to put a BOV on this SC???? BOV on this system I think would hurt performance then aid it. Unless you just want the sound and you don't care that you spent 3000+ for nothing. You need a good BPV. BOVs are more for turbos and even then BPVs are more efficient.

Kids these days.... :lalala:  :nope:

since youre opening up the intake you might as well put a turbonator in it too

instead of buying a BOV, you can just hire me to sit in your car all the time and i'll make that noise everytime you shift.

I dont think a BOV on a S/C is going to make that much noise to be honest. Ive rode in a RIPP Powered Supercharged Tiburon, which is basically the same design as the TRD Supercharger. All it did was make the faintest noise when he shifted.

A bov will help with performance, the stock trd wannabe bov is very cheap and tends to leak boost from there, installing a better bov in its place will yeild consistant boost.

They essentially do the same thing, wether it whines or not it builds pressure in the pipes, it has to go somewhere when you shift (on an 5 sp tc). It will either reroute itself onto the intake again, or blow out to the atmosphere. the bpv bov etc etc do the same thing. Keep the air from building when the motor is not using the boost.

yes, i know they pretty much do the same thing.. but they are two distinctively different noises. and honestly, i dont think the TRD S/C will make either of those really loudly like people want/expecting. thats all i was saying..

well then does anyone have BPV instructions where to buyy one etc...

If you read your installation sheet, you would notice that its made by bosch. The partnumber should be in a seperate box if you kept it. You can also buy the turboxs H25 BPV, but all i see is its a waste of money.

My boost peaks at 7.6 , If you want more performance changing the s/c pulley is the best money for power.

no i have every intent of doin that too... your opinion is well accounted for... but i get angry when retards in their SOHC non vtec civics come by me with a BOV and feel good about themselves and i don't have double shock factor... sure i still beat them... but i want em to hear why i beat them lol

oh yea the sc is a centrifugal charger.. I kept thinking it was rotor style designed..

I grew out of that thinking about 5 yesars ago.

Have you ever heard of NASIOC.com

try posting that you want the SWOOSH sound and you want the loudest BOV. You'll get flamed up the butt.

why don't you try and get a flange welded on to a turbxs rfl bov and try to mount it... you might be able to hear that one, cuz i know on wrx's they scare little children.

tikbhoy... I don't think you or anyone else can argue the sexiness of the BOV sound... I think i have wet dreams about it on occassion lol

from what zpi said .....the BOV that comes w/ the supercharger is leaking almost all the time and you are losing boost. ....with that statement.... you will be gaining by swaping it out. And no you wont hear that swoosh sound but it should increase the performance. I am still looking for a center pod to mount my gauges. If anybody has one let me know cause im interested in what you have.

I know this post if really old but i came across it because im trying to get some info and advice and opinions. Ive been planning on changing my adapter valve for my bpv but been having trouble with the recirculating hose. this is currently what i have...

Left valve: recirculating bpv
right valve: atmoshpheric bov
Box: apr diverter valve

ive been trying to put the recirculating bpv on my car but the hose is stopping and creates problems like its too long or too small...

Kinda confused lol. If its to long cut it or buy a new hose the right size?? Are you trying to blow off or recirculate.

I used a bov that fit in the stock piping, it was very similar to the image below. The car ran fine and it made a great sound. It was an adjustable one, i just loosened it up and watched the boost gauge, kept increasing sprint pressure until the boost was stable at 9.5 psi

lol i wish it was that easy...
the hose that comes off the recirculating port on the s/c is 3/4".
the recirculating port on the bpv i have is an 1". i gotta find stainless steel adapters to connect the hoses. i dont think they make a stainless steel pipe that goes from 3/4" to 1".

well i was gonna do that too with a bov because i was gonna plug the recirculating hose and change the adapter for the bov.
from what i was told by a few guys at my work that are force induct is that the stock piping is causing me to lose boost. thats why i wanted to change.
how i figure that i am loosing boost is by squeezing my stock adapter pipe. it expanded so much every time i hit boost till the point that i can touch fingers when i squeeze it. sooner or later its gonna blow right off.

oh yeah and a quick question, does have a fully atmospheric bov affect your car every time you shift?

from what ive heard is that if its too rich your car will stall and that if you meet a certain amount of measured air, your car can fall flat on its face.

I have the hks bov and no stalls runns great and still getting same power.I think a little more help then a bpv I think I read somewhere when u shift you run rich or lean for a quick sec I'm not sure I install my wideband next week and I'll let u know lol. I know turbo xs (the real one not eBay knock off) will stall I tried it and was a bad experience lol

Right behind the weapon r intake I t off over there. You can do it near the bov/bpv but idk how good that is.. I paid 100 used for the bov and running great you can use a greddy rs bov also but it has to sit on a pipe like mine they sell them on eBay And does that gold wrap work good where do I get that I was thinking of wrapping mine

do you have a pic of it cause i am not too sure.. lol
thats not bad, i just purchased mine today lol
yeah the gold wrap actually works, i personally like it because it prevents the heat from messing up the bearings and the shaft..

oh ok, i see it now... no actually im trying to get a wideband because this was my first time actually buying a a/f ratio gauge so my friend said just get any but comes to find out i need a wideband instead of a narrowband.
did you connect your wideband yet? hows the reading on your boost gauge with that connection?
i read on a forum that we would get the best readings from the brake booster vacuum line (but not to sure yet)

I'm installing the bung for AFR today. And the readings are good on my boost gauge it reads the full 9psi.. But driving normal speed the neddle on the gauge kinda shakes a little but could just be my gauge. Its old lol

the place that you hooked up the vacuum line for the gauge seems to be upside down compare to mine or i am just not being able to find it lol
did you know that if your needle shakes that mean there is a chance of a vacuum leak some where. i happened to me several times.
the first time it happen was because of the connection to my gauge there was a leak and the second time it was the connection off of my
T... my vacuum line split causing my needle to jump and shake at normal driving....

oh yeah, for the T invest in a brass T, it tends to work a lot better and dont get all messed up like the plastic ones
and the third time was because my T was too big causing my needle to to go crazy
