Living in Ohio (Pot Hole Centeral - at least it seems that way), I was going to go with 17"s with 40 series tires, but after looking at a set of 40 series tires at a local shop, I am now thinking of going with 50 series tires and 16"s. This way I can run year round without having to swap in the winter.

Anyone running with 16"s and 50 series tires??? Pictures would help if anyone has them

Thanks in advance!

I am running 16's with 45's. Give me a sec, and I will look for a pic.

Here is a pic. I too chose this size since the streets in Houston are like that on Mars. On the other hand, steering is more responsive and not too mention light weight. May not be the #1 choice for style, but I can live with them.

I've had comments of "boy, you really couldn't go any bigger, that looks good" by a tuner and "you gonna get wheels for that?" from a teenager.

I'm on 16s. Tires are Toyo 512, 205/55R16. Bit of sidewall (I like it though) and the speedo is off a bit.

he swapped 'em out for the 16"s they're super-nice. bronze skinny five spoke, i think. i say go with the smaller wheel. i'm totally diggin' the small wheel with high profile tire look. i'm not driving a racer, so i don't need 17" low-pro tires & wheels. i want to go with the konig heliums in bronze, but i just noticed that they dont seem to make them in 16"s. i also saw a set of velox VX8-Rs on sale in gunmetal with a polished lip.

Which tire dealers have all you guys been using for these 16's? And how was your experience with each. Most of the sites I've looking at seem to be pushing the 17 and above wheels.
