kloquewerk 11-26-2005, 05:38 PM dude, you have invisible guinea pigs!
firstkingofbeer 11-26-2005, 05:43 PM yeah i was thinking the same then i saw the boxes and figured that maybe they were just in there
PrettyniceB 11-26-2005, 05:46 PM Great mix of homemade and purchased. invisible pets smell the best!
yokillr 11-26-2005, 05:53 PM They're in there... just hiding....
One is in the igloo and the other is wrapped up in a piece of fleece, kinda looks like a burrito.
xBassist 11-26-2005, 06:36 PM do they pee on the fleece? if so, how do you keep that clean?
yokillr 11-26-2005, 06:57 PM They can be litter trained...
Fleece is actually very liquid resistant, so it can be easily "sponged" up. Im sure I will have to create cleaning regime where the fleece will get washed.
xBassist 11-26-2005, 07:15 PM cool, I had been thinking about getting some guineas myself.. As soon as I can track down some baby ones.. habitats for these little turds are expensive.. I'm wondering if I could build one, but I'm afraid that my poor cage-making craftsmanship will cause an escape and our labs will get a guinea snack.
need better pics of your new furry friends, man if i had a set up like that all the cats in the house would be all in that

Building a cage is ridiculously easy... assuming you have the right materials..

Yeah I know.... just have to keep the door shut.
If I had closed the cage off it would be a huge pain in the arse to feed them or take them out etc...
bubblemyster 11-26-2005, 08:45 PM pics of the pigs please.
scionish 11-26-2005, 08:53 PM those pigs can chew through small gauge wires so i would recommend lining the insides w/ chicken wires... & then paint it black to match it w/ the rest
yokillr 11-26-2005, 09:03 PM Will post pics of the little ones tomorrow, just dont feel like it today. Sorry.
yokillr 11-26-2005, 09:07 PM those pigs can chew through small gauge wires so i would recommend lining the insides w/ chicken wires... & then paint it black to match it w/ the rest
They wont be able to eat through this....
I had a hard enough time cutting it with wire snippers (a real pair).
Plus this material is praised by (i hate to say this) "guinea pig enthusiasts." LOL
surfcity40 11-27-2005, 07:11 AM watch out for the pole vault....

AKgoalie7 11-27-2005, 01:48 PM I'm allergic to g. pigs.... I used to go over my friends house and sneeze like crazy. Then i picked one up and broke out in rashes... weird..... But i'm not allergic to hamsters/gerbils......
