I've been sponsed by a company that is making my turbo kit as we speak, and it should be done but the end of next week for Hot Import Nights (San Mateo). The kit includes turbo, manifold, fuel system, piping, intercooler, ecu mangement, bov, and a few other things. This is a direct bolt up kit to the stock exhaust, and no faking the funk, it will be dyno'd... and there are saying nothing less than 50% more power to the wheels, and for all you racers he can get even wilder. He has turbo'd some sick cars and the made mad boost & power... He does alot of Celica's so I said what the heck!!! If you want to check them out at www.staffordfabrication.com. :D

I suggest you send a message to 2001rolla and ask him what happened to his corolla. In a 2 month period, he got rid of their kit
This is from his cardomain page
Stafford Fabrications Joke of a Turbo Kit 02/03/04
I got all the piping back from Stafford and got the little rubber plug that was supposed to be with the kit in the first place that covers up the breather running from the valve cover to the intake. The entire time i've had the kit on i've been charging up the block. This basically pressurised the entire block pushing oil out any possible opening. Had I drivent he car any more than I did I could have blown out the oil seals in my engine as well as the turbo. This is more what it will look like when completed. I still have to drive out to Lancaster to have the car tuned and the billet aluminum fuel rail installed.
POS SF Turbo Kit Sold 03/28/04
I got rid of the piece of crap SF sold me... The kit from day one was a joke and never worked right from the beginning. The problems are far too numerous to list here but believe me when I say this... I will never, ever tell anyone to go to SF or anyone that has anything to do with them at all. Instead, I am going to build my own turbo kit for my car. I have all the resources sorted out and will be jumping in as soon as I have a welder that's up to the task. A Miller 135 Mig welder should do the trick. Now to wait for that nice fat tax return...

"Stay the hell away from Stafford Fabrication"
Did you know that ELProtoypes is building a turbo kit and actually has one already done up and running reliably on an xA? Give them a call and do up your car the right way the first time. I'm not going to go into all the details here but believe me when I tell you. I waisted 3400+ on a turbo kit that did nothing more than damage my motor.

Hmm thats odd i have over 65000 miles on my matrix, and it has been boosted since 25k. And yes this with the SF turbo kit, in fact it was a prototype one. Go figure
Sf also recently has one of the highest powered 2zz turbo celicas.
2001rolla is your 1zz any different than the newer ones?
I guess we will just have to see how the scion kit comes out. If the kit is no good it wont sell if it is it will. Its simple

I can do the welding but Stafford Fabractions has the only working fuel system, plus the guy is one hell of a welder too! So we got togeter and said why not do a full xB kit for everyone to have, not just me. Also for the corolla guy, your bad luck! Next time buy something you can install. Long story short you are promoting for a company. You should keep your opinions to yourself bro. The aftermarket world is small very small other companys see this no one is gonna want to deal with you. I take respect in what goes onto my car and the work that is done if I feel like someone has a bad product I dont put it in my car, if they do have a good product I tell people what I honestly think about it and how they can benefit.
Aggin you have no idea what went on with rolla as neither do I. I dont think it is your place or mine to butt in to staffords business who is not to say something wasnt defective right from stafford? Who knows? You didnt build the kit and neither did I.
Stay positive and promote what you know, not flame what you dont. This will get you alot further if your looking for more sponsors or referal customers to products you already have.

well you gotta figure you're not just paying for the parts, someone put time and thinking into making that... you paying for the person's knowledge on building it as well as the parts. you pay 100+ for an intake pipe... that thing cost maybe 10 bucks to make, if you could make it yourself you could save money, but most people can't so you gotta pay someone else hefty amounts for using their noggin instead of yours.

this was with the kit still in the back of the truck. We installed this kit complete by 1:02 am. This was with a lunch break, starbucks break, and dinner break. And this was a first time install. This includes drilling and tapping for the oil drain. That is an 8.5 hour install with 3 breaks.

The turbo kit includes:
4-1 tubular equal length manifold for maximum cylinder scavaging and horsepower
Garrett T25 Turbo to allow for horsepower numbers exceeding 250 whp (turbo upgrades available)
2.25 inch downpipe hooks to stock exhaust location
SF PFM Fuel System to provide the much needed fuel for the extra boost
SF Intercooler: a 19"x7"x3" core with TIG welded aluminum tanks
Mandrel Bent Intercooler Piping powdercoated to any of the 250+ colors we have.
TCC Works Type I Blow Off Valve just for the intimidation factor
Steel Braided Oil feed lines and fittings to privide your turbo with much needed lubrication
3/4" drain line and SF's "no weld" pan fitting bolts directly to the pan

lol, you were hoping for a T3/T4 weren't you? haha...
think it probably could go to a T28 though, that's what my gsx had stock and it's not bad, upgraded to a t3/t4 later, but the t28 spools quick and actually has a nice boost. never been in a car with a t25, but these cars are so light that seems like its the perfect size.

What turbo does the kit use :?: I hope it's not that crappy T25. That turbo sucks @$$.
a T28 though, that's what my gsx had stock
2g dsms came with t25 stock.
IMO. yes the t25 does suck...BUT for our application, because the motor is so small..
it actually fits quite nicely. One thing the t25 are notorious for was dropping off power in the 6k RPM range. Which somewhat fits out car stock redline..
a t28 or 16g would actually be good too. However it does flow A LOT more air than the t25... another thing i would take into consideration with bigger turbos is this is this...
on a 2.0 L dohc (dsm motor) a t25 would start spooling @ round 2k and hit full boost by 3k. a a t28 and 16g spools slightly higher... like a couple or hundred rpm higher.. nothing major. Getting into t3/t4 combos/hybrids. My 50 trim started spooling @ 3k and hit full boost around 3800-3900- RPMS...All of those turbos stayed @ full boost until redline with the exception of the t25... so this is what im trying to get at...
with a dinky 1.5L how long are spool times going to change from the above?
Secondly.. with a 6-6.5 Redline.. after the turbo finally does spool.. whats the range of full boost?....4-4.5k to 6k redline?? totally not worth it.
Just some rambling from a DSMer.. dont mind me :D

kit looks really good. i am laughing here reading some of the comments being made by people who obviously have never installed an aftermarket turbo kit. but that's ok, you can't please everyone.
and my opinion on the T25 is that i wouldn't go much bigger with a 1.5l engine. especially when it's running 10.5:1 compression. you can't boost 15psi for a long time without doing some work to the internals. and as far as cutting the bumper support, that is common practice with front mount intercoolers. you have to do it with subarus and a lot of other cars.
also, $3500 is not a bad price for a complete turbo kit. if you add it all up, plus factor in the R&D, it's a good value if it makes 50hp and comes with reliable engine management. some turbos are $3000+ by themselves. like the old garrett T04R. obviously that's much bigger, but still...small turbos are made for small engines. now we just have to see it installed on a few cars to see how it works in everyday use. then we can judge if this kit is good or not.
i think it's a little ironic that you put a turbo kit on an auto tranny with 20s. now you'll be almost as fast as a stock manual transmission xb with stock tires. :)

the intercooler is larger than nessesary it's for the bling aflect at shows the kit will come with an intercooler that dosn't require cutting the bumper support

To the Scionlifers, I will be going to the dyno very soon. The xB feels great and I a busy man. I just had my first baby girl, and I show everyweekend, like this weekend Las Vagas. Next weekend DUB. The show life never ends. Also I work for the Government and those 14 hour days are killing me. Plus that's my xB, and nobody can drive it unless thay make the payments. So that's me only!. Sfpower'z kit is the best, oh yeah about my pretty pipes. It caught your eye and that's what we wanted it to do! Please hold in there SCION folks, we will do this A.S.A.P. The xB is doing great I already have 12,000 miles on the car, and I put 4,000 on the turbo already. Trips to and from the Air Force Bases, from state to state for shows, plus a little bit of club'n here and there to hollywood. Please bear with us as we are trying to get to the dyno.

This kit contains parts that I can not yet discribe. No check engine lights, and it's
pretty easy to bolt on too! We are trying to set up a dyno run for this weekend, but
they mite be closed for the holiday weekend. Please also note that I now have
5000miles on the turbo kit and it's still running like a champ; and pulling those
DUB'z like they were 10'z! :P I will try to answer any questions the best I can, and
also try to keep scion people informed on what's going on with the kit.

i wonder how much of a drop in horsepower those dubz will do since i am assuming they are heavier that the stock wheels....probly see 3-5 hp loss. thats the price we pay for having larger rims unless they happen to be lightweight

at 61lbs a pop, yeah; but the shine shine shine! From 1st into 2nd I get mad torque-steer, with dubz. With stock wheels there mite be even more!

Any word on the dyno yet? I know how nice the kit is on Nick's Matrix XR-T, just want to see how things worked out on the xB. Which fuel management and injectors are you using? At which psi?

DAYAMMMM.....61 lbs a pop....thats a ____load of wheel for a wheel/tire. i bet w/o that turbo your XB would be super slow.

Yeah super slow w/o the turbo! Can't tell you guys yet what we are running for fuel. Just say that were using ROCKET FUEL..... I will try to get to the dyno, and also try to make a pass on the track to try and give you some times. But remeber it's an auto!

You're selling the kit without dyno'ing it?
Aggin_Motorsports
07-02-2004, 05:00 PM
I sold James's turbo kit with out him even having 2k on the kit. Dyno nope, but some guy drove from vages the same night just becuase he wanted turbo. He said that he saw us at the Las Vages car show about a month ago, and said he saw us drive in, and drive out. That's right to Vages from Cali and back. That means it works! I understand why James got rid of his scion. People have to many questions and not enough actions. If you want a turbo kit that I can say works, cool let's do this. If not then ok. What do you want, a test drive... Hit me on the pm and I'll give you my # and we can set something up, but I don't even care about the box anymore, so I'll never see a dyno with it. Oh yeah I'm not a racer, so I never cared about power. 7lbs is cool with me..... :o
