So you are taking a departure from the existing ZPI and Dezod manifold designs? Doing something other then a "log" type manifold, going equal length perhaps?

We will see. I am trying to make the kit so people can buy it. If I make some crazy manifold the kit will be to much money. It will have a tubular manifold. I do not think it will make a hole lot more power with a crazy manifold but we are going to have a dual ball bearing turbo as a option. We are using that on the sound performance sponsored car..

maybe you should do like the sts turbo's they are realy nice and seem to work great from all the reviews i have seen

(incase you dont know they mount them where the muffler is and ppl see great gains from them)

The valve cover is a gun metal/dark grey ... what ever you want to call it. I got it powder coated.

Well for a up-date. I just got back from the PRI show and talked to a friend of mine who just did a turbo on his TC and he told me a few tricks to make more power. I also am working with wilwood on brakes for Charles car and a few other sponsors for some interior stuff. I will have more pics up ASAP..

It is a tublar style with a 38mm tital waste gate.

No we are not going to use the emanage. We are going to use a SAFC. We found away around the problems that most people are having the SAFC. It is going to work perfect. I have your glove box at my budddy's shop getting a custom fiberglass piece that holds the SAFC, Apex Turbo Timer, and a AEM Ugeo gauge.. It is going to look sick. Charles I am building your car like it was my own. Trust me you will have the nicest TC in chi town hands down.. I just hope that you do not get hated on like I did but then again when people hate on you it is because you got some thing they dont...

Here are some pics of our fuel system. We are un hooking the regulator in the tank and using a Aero Motive regulator with a gauge not shown in pics I am out of stock. We also made the system a return type. So you will have to run a line to the back of the car and drill a fitting in the fuel pump housing. Here are a few pics. I will have pics of the intercooler piping and turbo by friday or saturday...

It will be fine..Most cars that have a fuel system like this you have to make it a return system..

I just got the new ball bearing turbo in today. I have it at the polisher. I will start making my intercooler pipes and down pipe on monday. This car should be running by the end of next week..

I can get some. I know that motegi has some chrome, and a few other wheel companies have chrome. It is not the big seller but I can get them. Just stop the shop one day and we can go over some stuff...

i thought you dumped the safc idea?? either way just to help you out there is one guy that has got it working with no issues but you cant adjust the fuel till above 4800 rpms with 75%throttle or else it seems to throw a cel. im going to yank the one out of my buddys grand prix and see if maybe it was a wireing issue that this guy had but if you have any luck please share with our comunity

I think you are one of the first to actually convert over to a return line in the tC...I did it w/ my xB when I did the turbo a long time back...let me know how things turn out.

I will say that the return fuel system is a big part of making every thing work right. There are a few more little things you have to do also..

ahh...come on it aint taht bad...just time consuming...I used a 3/8 Earls Bulkhead in the sending unit w/ a 90 end, then ran 15 ft stainless braided up to the regulator, then one line to the perrin fuel rail.

smart idea with the AN fitting on the end of the rail...the main reason why nobody has made a rail for this car is cause the rail will handle up to 720 cc's at full duty cycle...not great if you plan on running 720's but very good for 550's.

well I just found a head and a intake I can use to make a rail. So I think I might make a rail to sell with the kit or I will have to mod the stock rails and have a core charge on the rails. You know I will send a rail with the kit then you send your rail back to me and I will credit you the core charge but I would rather make a real nice rail for the car too. So I will see what I can do in the next few weeks..

yea its 16.691, it was surely a sad day for manual tranny tc's. That was my first and i think last day that i would be my car on the track (to much weight i added). It was fun though, i throw that day at charles face, and ahmers face everytime i see them. Its great !!

I had a snowmobile that went 9.40 @140. Snowmobiles are fun to race on pavment. My quad would not go that fast. I would say if I geared it right it would 13's maybe 12's with the NOS...

This car will be at World Of Wheels in 3 weeks with dyno numbers ready to go. Any one localy can come for ride if you are ready to buy the kit.. The kit will be ready in about 2 weeks...

not just yet but right around $4,000. The only thing will be for all the non local guys there will be a few things that are a core charge. I want this to be a as close to bolt on as possible. In the kit will be a new oil pan with the return fitting already in it and a fuel rail with the fitting welded on and the hole drilled. So you will pay a core charge for these and send me your old stuff back then get a credit for the core charges. The only thing you will have to do is drill the hole in the fuel tank sending unit for the fuel return and you will also get a stock regulator that is welded to put in the tank and send me your old one. This will be a pretty simple kit top install. Any kit installed at my shop comes with 2 free dyno pulls. One pull stock and one pull after.

He never came by or if he did I was not there. As for a up-date... The down pipe is done. I have one intercooler pipe done the other side I am waiting for one part that will be on monday then thats done. The intake pipe is cut all I have to do is mount the MAS air meter flange. The air intake for the tubo had to be made. Then wire the SAFC and turn the key... This could should run by the end of next week after I get the parts back from coating. Oh by the charles you owe me again I am doing chrome intercooler pipes for your car and a polished front mount... I also spoke with a magazine today about a feature. Charles you better start saving you owe me big time...

Couldnt make it, well i could've but i had to meet a loan officer off highland in 88-aurora. I was planning on attending until the bastard called me stating he wanted me to give him his check cuz he needed the money. I couldnt say no being the nice gentlemen i am. Well quick up date on the TC. All the pipes are mocked up and spot welded. So we are going to finish weld all the pipes tomorrow and send them out to chrome and coating. Then we have to wire the SAFC and then we are ready to start when we get the pipes..

I dont think that the motor would handle NOS and turbo but I have not tried yet. There is only one way to find out..The NOS kit is around $550 and the install is about $200 or $250.

My buddy ran the AEM on his TC out west and made 430 at the wheels with a stock block.. I think I might have to buy a TC so I can do some crazy set up.. Like a 900hp street car :P but we will see...

And if we are ever going to race we can do it a NHRA track not the street or any where else. Line them up and wait for the tree to light up and go...If Charles will let me drive it I will race some one for fun...

At first i was heisitant to give my car only because to turbo charge is a big step and i was actually going to wait for GREDDY!!! (which still has not released thier kit)
But the deal was to good to pass up.

When i first saw how the kit was coming together i loved it. Like said previously i love how the intercooler isnt to big to where they had to cut into my bumper support ... its just as simple as making a few mounting points...then of course when i saw that it was a top mount and how the manifold came out. IMO its the best "looking" kit i have seen so far.

Soon we will have the numbers to show how it performs too...and im sure it will meet my expectations if not exceed them.

I'll probably be at the track all summer!

Well matt I do have a Final price yet. If some one wanted the same kit Charles has with all the chrome and stuff it would be very high. I mean there is almost $1000 in chrome plating under the hood of that car..plus the ball bearing turbo... But the regular kit will come with a polished turbo also the exhaust housing and down pipe will be coated. The intercooler pipes will be a option. So After World Of Wheels I am going to sit down and put together a few packages with final pricing. I also have to make jigs for all the pipes so I can sell this kit with out having a test car.. I will start taking orders by second week of Febuary and the kits will take about 4 weeks to build. Hope this answers some of your questions...

The kit will not be that bad guys. This kit will be a smoking deal for all the stuff you are getting with it. After seeing the other kits on the market and what they offer I could get a ton of money for this kit but I made this kit for all the TC guy and girls that want power and a great kit for a even greater price...I am very glad that I could bring the quality of R&D and product that SP does for many other cars like the supra into the scion community

one thing is it alright to have the bov that far back?? if so im going to do my civic like that to make it not stand out as mutch but i though it was supposed to be like 10" from the tb so it releases pressure as soon as it starts to build up

and i love the wastegate setup thumbs up on that it will draw alot of attention

in all due respect the supras are pushing a higher psi and a larger volum of air so that might by why but im sure it will work i like the look alot

It is going to work with no idle or stalling problems...

On my IS300, the BOV was pre intercooler also near the fenderwell. it was sweet cuz you could see the bov right next to the fog light. Sweet stuff.

Wow I didn't even notice there was another turbo kit out there.....man it looks really nice! Definitely different than ZPI and Dezod, which is awesome cause of the variety. Definitely love the manifold/turbo/WG set-up.....it's gorgeous. Can't wait to see some numbers! Good luck man!

When ZPI and Dezod came out people all over knew about it and were checking it out.

With this kit it has gotten a lot of hype from local people and some out of staters but not as much as i thought. That'll all change though when the numbers from this kit come out and after we kit some video of the car in action.

Well guys I was hoping to have the car running saturday but due the snow and my snow plowing company that I own I was not a work on saturday. So monday afternoon this car should be on the dyno. I will post pics and vids of the dyno run. I will also post of vid of some street driving also...

Well guys we just made our first pull and it made 255 at the wheels @ 7lbs of boost with the second factory cat on the car still!!! This is great.. We are going to keep tuning and we might turn up the boost a little...

Well guys we did end up making 262HP and 280 torque at the end of the day on 7lbs of boost. I have to say I have been driving this car all night and it is sick at 7lbs. It is so fun to drive I think I might have to buy one now. 1st gear is tire smoke and rev limter, 2nd gear is tire smoke, 3rd spins a little then just takes off. I will have some videos up soon.... I will have a price out by monday night with new pics.. I am also going to turn the boost up on monday and go for 300 or more...See you at the show this weekend...We are next to the nopi booth...

The other great part about this kit is that there are no check engine lights witch mean it will pass IL smog testing :) This car runs like stock. It idels perfect no stalling and the BOV is crazy loud....

I trust SP when you say that you build high performance daily drivable cars, but internals would definately be a bit more comforting have.

Well a friend on mine has a TC with just over 400HP with a stock block but he is running the AEM ECU. Toyota has very strong motors you just need the AEM to tune it right..
