View Full Version : ZPI supercharger upgrades
Scion-ce 11-29-2005, 03:52 PM I keep hearing about people replacing the stock bpv with the bosch sport 110. I have heard nothing bout great things about this. ZPI is supposed to be coming up with a way to rig a BOV on the supercharger. Just wanted to get an update on that before purchasing an upgraded bpv. I love the sound of a BOV, but if its not as functional as the bpv, I will go with the bosch sport110. Any updates on all the supercharger upgrades ZPI?
intercooler kit
BOV integration
Pulley kit
shuttlegoosecock 11-29-2005, 11:26 PM we all have been waiting for awhile... but they have to finish up thier turbo orders before they start on the supercharger. They have the pullies... but thats it. I heard they will have a bov, intake with maf kit, intercooler, and big boost kit that prolly puts it all together with standalone or emanage. hopefully they will chime in and add what they r really doing.
thanks for the good work zpi.
jwaggz82 11-30-2005, 02:33 AM Hope we hear the chimes soon because no updates (fast/slow) is bad news. Its good to keep the customers informed what is going on so we can plan ourself.
hPower 11-30-2005, 03:25 AM I plan on waiting for other companies who will also be releasing some goodies for us in the very near future before I decide on purchasing any upgrades :lalala:
Scion-ce 11-30-2005, 06:32 PM ZPI care to chime in? :lalala:
ZPIracing 11-30-2005, 06:57 PM We have the pulley's done and released. We are finished with the design on the intake but will not release it until wwe get the pipes in from the bender. We will offer a big boost kit with a diffrent pulley that will be tested this weekend in Florida.
We have not finalized anything on the FMIC. We do have a mini battery kit that we will release hopefully by week end.
Thanks for the interest in our products and if there is anything else you would like to see from us please chime in.

Scion-ce 11-30-2005, 07:17 PM Great news! What about the BOV? I really want to see if a blow off valve will work with this supercharger and if it will be more efficient than running an upgraded bypass valve.
Also, could you tell us a little more about these products?
I'm especially interested in the intake. As of now Umnitza is the only intake compatible with the TRD blower. However, after a dyno test, it appears that it actually hurt performance. What is the design like? Does it look just like an old intake but has the right bend in the pipe?
ZPIracing 11-30-2005, 07:24 PM with the gains from the upgraded BPV and the price tag that it carries we postponed this from our plans
JT_Scion 11-30-2005, 07:45 PM From what i hear Scion-ce, a BPV is much more desireable to have over a BOV as far as functionality goes, especially with a car that has a MAF sensor.
nester 11-30-2005, 08:22 PM You can recirculate the BOV to keep the metered air in the system.
Or do something like a 50/50 re-circ to allow for noise, and still keep most of your metered air in the system.
Viperj_13 11-30-2005, 09:40 PM Hey ZPI, What part of Florida will you be in?
jwaggz82 11-30-2005, 10:37 PM great job zpi - its good to keep the publicinformed even when you dont have the product done....if something is in testing and the end user knows...thats a good thing. Do you have dyno results for the new filter? All of us are very interested in seeing what extra horses that are there w/ a warranty in place.
Scion-ce 12-01-2005, 03:15 PM Hellz yeah

looks like it aint going to be cheap, i hope to find out what bypass you are using. im not a fan of BOV or 50/50s since they still mess with the maf.
jwaggz82 12-02-2005, 12:04 AM I know you guys what atleast the 50/50 but the bpv is proving to be a big performance gain.... you might want to consider.
