Sorry for the loss of Yeller, those of us who love animals know the pain that is. The passing of a pet to me is the loss of a family member. We had a black lab named Dancer when I lived in AR with my dad growing up....she was so old when she finally passed she was around 15-18 yrs and when we got the call she finally faded away that brought back so many memories.

She would scout around and watch over us kids when we would go out and play in the forests of North Carolina and later Arkansas. She was named Dancer because she sort of bounced and danced around when she was excited.

Anyway here is my cat Molly, I rescued her from the Humane Society a few yrs ago, she is 4 now and she is my companion.

That's Bugs, we adoped him about 4 years ago now. He comes when you whistle right and speaks on command too. I'm pretty sure he's about 20% dog. He's a licker!

We found him at a bar as a stray, he was so hungry he nearly took my finger off trying to eat a Slim Jim
I bought inside the bar to lure him... we couldn't just leave him there. He was bony, covered in fleas
and had lungworms, but now he's a fat and happy indoor cat.

Lucy came from a more posh background: a pet store where we were charged $85 for her royal highness! :crazy:

I had a Great Dane growing up...she was a little more then a year older then me. She was a Harlequinn! Beautiful dogs...

I think at her biggest, she was like 160lbs...very large for a female, but very strong too. She lived to be 13 if you can believe that!

Now they have two Greyhounds from a local race track...wonderful dogs as well.

I'm interested in going even smaller, though I used to hate small dogs, and get an Australian Terrier...my girlfriend and I recently purchased a townhome and a small terrier would be perfect to have.

Does anyone have an Aussie or know anyone who does? Curious on their tempermant...

i believe the 13 year age, the breeder im interested in is in WV, she has 9 dogs and 11 _____es, all her dogs average 10-11 yrs and her oldest was 15(danes have an 8 year life exp.)!!!!! her dogs akc numbers date back to germany, she even gives them a 4 year health garuantee..

now believe this, her average height n weight of her blue or black dogs are about 53" and around 210-220lbs!!
