I am a Full time student, College second year..almost done with my ___. degree in computer science

Full time Retail sales at a local dive shop. (i am the senior employee and i am 19, youngest of the stores, and longest employment)

Part time Dead head Diver...just diving durin my free time. which really isn't much diving....

i am also a secret agent...no really i am. companies pay me good money, and free products to sit around and pitch their item. like the other day i got a shipment of pens that write whichever direction you hold them, underwater, over grease, in the really cold / hot, and upside down. along with a 100 bux and instructions to use them and leave them wherever i go. Of course i hand them out to people and say here use my pen, then walk away. or i will write in an area like the food court, and just talk about how cool my pen is to friends, classmates, etc etc... it is a cool job, i like the extra money, and some of the gizmos are pretty cool...

my favorite is this company that sends me mix cd's of all these up and coming bands. they pass me like a 50 pack of these cd's and i am to listen to them, and give thema way to anyone. they even send me a cd player to listen to them with. they usually have like 20 songs of diffterent types, rock, rap, alternative... and i just pass them out and say oh hey you might like this cd. try track...so and so... it is really good. nah you can keep that cd, i made a copy at home. one of the cd's i got had Fall out boy, and AFI before they were famous... i thought that was funny as i went through my old mixes...

anywho.. thats another of my jobs.

I'm from the monterey bay... Prunedale actually. It's kind of crazy hearing from people that aren't from around here, or just aren't from the west in general... I never really think of this area as like a tourist area...Sometimes when I go to downtown monterey to the warf or get some kick ___ mexican food at El Torritos, I just think, man its effin beautiful out here! Then I remember why people like it so much. Monterey rocks.

And uh, hotties galore :-p

You know when you're leaning back in a chair on the back two legs and you're at that point where you've leaned too far and you're about to fall backward? Go for the RN. I was a full-time EMT for about 6 years on an ambulance. EMT's and Paramedics make squat. The entire EMS profesion is terribly under-paid. On the other hand, RN's are in BIG demand and make excellent money. It wouldn't hurt to do both. Getting your EMT is great experience for a future in nursing. If you find that you like emergency medicine, you can always go that route with a RN behind your name and make much better money.

I come from a long line of innovators and inventors.

For example, one of my direct ancestors, before coming to America, discovered the color Orange.

My great Great Grandfather invented the question mark.

My father tradmarked the term "moron" in the late 50's, before anyone had the insight to trademark terms for profit.

I, however, am just an artist.
I am listed on IMDB, have over 15 years of filmwork under my hat, and recently ran away with the circus and now part of the worlds largest show in Vegas.

This was BEFORE all that. Moron.
I have license to use the term freely given it is now an heirloom term, thanks to my father's intuitive insight.

Hey, Pigeon Forge is one the coolest spots in the south, and Gatlinburg TN is only a few miles away AND Pigeon Forge has some of the best car shows around. It is one the places you should go to see some of the smoky mtns. at its best. The scenery is amazing and the weather is usually nice in the spring, summer, fall. I have never visited around x-mas but I am sure it is cold. However some parts of town are very tourist oriented and can get old very quick. i prefer this area to Disney any day of the week. I will hush my proud southern mouth now.

I am sure pigeon forge is fantastic, no doubt. I am just wondering about the history of its name :)

matt_a
03-10-2006, 06:51 PM
Gotta love search engines:

The name Pigeon Forge was derived in 1820 when Isaac Love built an iron forge on the Little Pigeon River.

Although the forge was dismantled in 1885, a mill was built around the same time and still operates today using the same machinery.

The Old Mill, a national historic site, is more than 150 years old.

archangel
03-10-2006, 08:28 PM
Ahhh, what I think is funny is the person that lives in Pigeon forge did not address the inquiry, but that makes sense because most of us don't know a dang darn thing about where we live. But now you have to ask, How Little was that pigeon , and was there a river of pigeons??? :eyebrow: But I digress this is way to much off topic convo, back to What do people do for a living.
