Default exhaust dillema.....please help!

Hi everyone! Well, I figured its about time I get an exhaust put onto my xB. I wanted an exhaust with a nice, deep, and loud sound (that is available at my local shop). So, after some research I came up with the Espelir and JIC exhausts. Ive heard the sound clip of the Espelir exhaust, but I couldn't find one of the JIC. Can somebody either 1. Give me a JIC exhaust clip, 2. Tell me which is louder/deeper, or 3. Tell me if either is flat out better. Oh and 1 more thing. I dont have an aftermarket intake, so will that effect my xB's sound much (or at all) after i put the exhaust?

Thanks in advance 4 the help!!!

Default exhaust sound

I personally like the sound of my exhaust that came on my RS 2.0 box. It has a nice deep sound, not a "McCulloch in a soup can", sound. Hear that a lot on they local Kids ricer cars.

Hey, know you're looking at the Espelir and JIC exhaust but just thought I'd throw this out there. We have some DC exhausts that we are letting go at some amazing prices. If you have any interest in a DC here is the link: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=95360

Thanks.

JiC is loud and obnoxious, much like the sound from a Civic w/ the round canister exhaust. I really like my custom catback Magnafow center exit exhaust.

THANKS Vito! The guy who did my exhaust had the JiC on his box first. I almost bought the Ti JiC axleback, then settled for the Tanabe, before I went w/ the Magnaflow set-up.

[quote="driftersil80"what does moving to Phoenix have to do with ANYTHING!?[/quote]

EVERYTHING!! the atmosphere has less pressure than where you live, less (back)pressure means that the sound wave length has less resistence, less resistence leads to a longer wave lenght that has a more pronounced deepth and loudness to it that cant be described!! When you move the PH(x) your 4 banger will sound like a V8!! Its just WILDas to what happens when you move here!!!

I would recommened, from what ive read on these websites is. Greddy axle back, strup header and Injen CAI. Best combo ive seen up to today. I have a DC sports header and an InVidia catback. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way my car sounds . But InVidia is kind of expensive, but i can ASSURE you, not wait, GAURANTEE you that you will love your exhaust. Another thing without a header and without and intake you probably WONT feel any power difference and the car will still be VERY quiet. If you dont put the header intake exhaust combo you wont feel a thing. Without the intake you can put on a full exhaust and the power gains wont be that great until you put in the intake. Our cars have really restrictive intakes so if i were you i would choose the intake first.

The trick with keeping our cars quiet, is to NOT remove tha cat nor the silencer. You can pretty much make any axle-back and header combo and you will be happy with the car, as long as you dont remove the catalytic converter nor the resonator. This will kill the quiet, nice sounding un-ricer beauitful, xA.
