Looks good i like where you put it. Same thing with my tC took more time planning everything like running wires and such then actually DOING it. Love my sirius though. I installed it back in october and can honestly say i havent listened to anything else since except a few cds sometimes and dvd's (i have the kenwood ddx). Nice install though. Clean.

Is the Sirius receiver itself hardwired to the HU?

Also, how much of a pain was it to run the sat. cable to the back?

My uncle got one of thse types of XM receivers for his car and home, and he wants it installed in the car, but Circuit City and BestBuy want $100 or so to do the install.

I told him I'd do it for him, but I'm 3 hours away from him...maybe over XMas.

Nice, clean install. I'm choosing to go for the Sirius Direct for Alpine, I like that it's controlled thru the HU & that it's a completely Behind the Scenes install. & that it's not FM Modulated.

I assume it's FM modulated? If so, how is the sound quality? Also, are there multiple stations that you can tune it in for?

I'm not interested in this specific Sirius tuner, but the one that looks like the radar detector...just getting a feel for how the FM modulation sounds.

I installed a Sirius receiver on the dash of my TC a couple months ago. Only problem is that the way the dash is angled, I have to lean forward to reach it. But I love it and can't wait for Howard in January!!

Default Details?

Hi:

How did you get the antenna wire from the rear to the location where you installed the receiver?

Also, how did you install the reciever to the plastic? Just velcro or did you screw it in?

Thanks a bunch,

JS
