Hubcap spinners brighten my day. everytime I see them I just have to chuckle and smile.

I remember seeing the first set of spinners at Sema on Spreewell's lambo it was an amazing thing. I still like them on certain trucks and SUV's but getting a little overboard.

the spinners were originally $10,000 for a set from Spreewell, now you can pick them up at the flea market for a good price!

Do they make them in 15's? Or I mean, are there knockoff companies that make 15's? how much? :D

I might just put the hubcap ones on when I get the box. Maybe not, it might be too cheesy.

oh no. Come take a peek at Denio's....

I thought about the spinning hubcabs when i was a kid. Spree stole my idea! I wouldn't get them personally, they look cool but i'd rather have something strong and light.

I do Belive Davin created the technology and patented it out from there, I belive spreewells were created from Davin technology, as DUBS are. :D

Are these any good for the XB? I mean if I got some 17" Spinners would it affect it at all? Are they too heavy? I haven't seen too many people with them on their XB... Any info would be hot...
Thanks!

i saw one on the freeway on sat, that had some 18" spinners, and it looked pretty good. you just gotta get the right kind. i like the 5 spoke style ones. i think they are a little heavier, but it wont make much difference. if you get spinners, you're not a racer, you're a cruzer

Hey thanks... I don't really care about any speed I just want this as a cruisin car and thought it might look good with some spinners... something more different instead of all these racing and performance rims... just my opinion... so you don't think it will screw anything up on the XB? I wouldn't think they would.
Here's a pic of a XB with 18" Spinners...

Spinners are just decorative, they aren't going to cause any problems other than more attention.

I saw a sweet set of spinners yesterday. Some deep chrome rims and the 5-spoke spinners were painted black to match the truck. A big Black Dodge with a silver streak down the middle. Such a nice combo. Never seen anything but chrome on chrome.

The spinner in the picture are that of Spintek design and that patent is held by KMC wheel Corp. There are many copies of the type that bolt onto the wheel but they infringe on the copy right.

You guys got the history all wrong. The original inventor of the spinning rims were 4 guys who started Davin wheels. They used to work for Reebok sneaker company before they started Davin Wheels. They designed the wheel as a project for a college class, which they won. They tried for a few years to get them to production. Finally they got financing to start Davin wheels. * Spreewell never had a line of rims. On an episode of MTV Rides, they filmed a segment at Spreewells shop and he had a set of spinners on one the cars. That was the first time people saw them on tv so everyone asssumed they were made by Sprewell's shop thus they were called "Sprewells". But they were actually a set of Davin wheels.

What about Davin?

Davin was the very first. Sprewell came after. Everyone that believes Sprewell made them first is incorrect. Sprewell just owns a shop, I doubt he can even make wheels.
