Ok so lets say that I decide to get either TRD or Koni shocks...would I be able to get the cusco or tein pillowball/camber plates to work with them? or are they strictly for the Cusco/Tein/Tanabe coilover gig?

View Full Version : Let's have a little scenerio why dont won't we? gnar-de-gwar 12-07-2005, 02:07 AM Ok so lets say that I decide to get either TRD or Koni shocks...would I be able to get the cusco or tein pillowball/camber plates to work with them? or are they strictly for the Cusco/Tein/Tanabe coilover gig? MattyRattyPoo 12-07-2005, 03:30 AM They will fit with all apllication of shorcks. You might have to do some modification to the camber plates but you never know till you put them together. I know for sure the Cusco camber paltes will fit Cusco Coilovers and Tein coilovers with out any modification. Dewmerz 12-07-2005, 04:10 AM Tein pillow ball upper mounts are only available on the Tein Super Street setup when purchased together. They cannot be purchased separately for the xA/xB. BrianxB 12-07-2005, 05:18 AM why would you waste your money on springs, struts and then the camber plates when you couldve purchased a nice set of coilovers in the first place for around the same price? gnar-de-gwar 12-07-2005, 07:13 AM because I already haave springs, and for x-mas my leading lady ordered some shocks for me...just that she won't tell what they are (either TRD or Koni)....sooo yeah. otherwise i would get some normal coilovers. i mean if consensus say no the camber paltes won't fit, then I'll just rock some camber bolts until I do get coilovers BrianxB 12-07-2005, 03:12 PM the TRD struts arent really worth the money. pdrizzle 12-07-2005, 03:23 PM the TRD struts arent really worth the money. Why do you say this, Brian? Dewmerz 12-07-2005, 03:41 PM because I already haave springs, and for x-mas my leading lady ordered some shocks for me...just that she won't tell what they are (either TRD or Koni)....sooo yeah. otherwise i would get some normal coilovers. i mean if consensus say no the camber paltes won't fit, then I'll just rock some camber bolts until I do get coilovers If the TRD or Koni struts use the stock strut upper mount then it should work but I could be wrong. The Tein Basics use the stock strut upper mount and I used the Cusco camber plate instead. gnar-de-gwar 12-07-2005, 07:26 PM sooo in general, yes? the mounts will work in conjunction with the shocks? |
