Default SuperFa LED Shift Bezel ***PIX***

Well, SuperFa is getting ready to release a Shift Bezel for the manual tC, xB, and xA. I was told they will also work with other toyota's. I had the honor of putting one of the first on my tC and got some pictures this evening...check it out

They will be available on the SuperFa web site in just a few weeks. They will be available in Red, Green, Blue, White, or multi-colored. No word on pricing yet.

Installation took me less than 5 minutes. The hardest part is finding a hot wire to hook up and get power to it

yeh it does a pretty good job of lighting the front middle up. Also keep in mind that when i took those pictures, i had my camera mounted on a tripod and left the shutter open for a good 3 or 4 seconds so it would capture the light.

Once the shift bezel for the tC is officially released, i will post a DIY for those in need of one. I know RedNeckWithanXb has one on his xB, and i'm sure he'll do a DIY as well.

what wire did you hook it up too? would it be able to be hooked up to the wire that goes to the cubby hole light so that it can be turned on with the interior lights instead of when the car turns on or via switch? (i dont want to run wires to a switch too much)

I had an aftermarket iPod connection put in my center console. So, all i did was tap into the hot wire for that. The problem with that, is it's on all the time. i can't turn it off. But that's what I want for now

As for the cubby hole light, that is a good idea and i will try to hook it up thru that the next time i go to the shop. I will PM you and let you know if it works. I don't see why it shouldn't work.

PrivateTucker, that's just camera work. It's not blinding or anything.

I remember you saying you increased the exposure time. Can we get real-time lighting. The above pics are misleading.

eh it's pretty hard get "real time" pictures at night without using a flash. using a flash would spoil the whole effect. i'll take more pictures tonight ;)

bah that's not what this topic is about. I like it. if you think they're too bright, i respect your opinion. i can't make you like them

We'll do a full installation intruction pamphlet with Nate's car after we get back from HIN this weekend.

Now that you mention it I will look into tapping into the cubby hole power source. It's easy to find a hot wire, but I really need to sit in the car for a lil while to find the best hot wire. Our xBs we installed these in already had switches for our locks and headlights, so I just tapped a switch, but I have to figure these out, too.

For the bright comment...what can I say, they are bright. There's (4) 3mm LEDs packed in there to make sure there's a nice even diffusion of light throughout the ring. The ring is slightly frosted, too, so it's not like a glaring bright light to disturb you vision while driving. I don't know much about camera work, but those pictures look like the real thing. Great pictures, BTW, Nate. I hope I can talk you into taking all the pictures when we get these in for the website. I have to fumble around and take 20 pictures to get 1 good one...

Some of the colors are intence, and some are more mild...the rainbow ring we have in our car is very subtle. That red looks amazing and gives the cockpit an evil look. Not everyone will like them, but I hope many will.

Shawn
