i'm just trying to find out exactly what parts will work with the supercharger. i wanted to order some stuff before i get the car. that way i won't have to buy so much stuff all at once. i need to get suspension stuff, short shifter, & etc. etc. i'm figuring that the stuff i want to get right away is gonna end up costin about $2K. if there's anything i can get right now while i'm waiting for the SC i'd like to do so. anyone have an intake with their SC? is the umnitza the only one that'll work? what other things as far as power can i get to go with the SC? i have my CC catback from my last tc, i'm ordering the CC s-pipe, but i don't think i'm getting a header. i can't find out for sure if the header will fail emissions in NY even with an 02 sim. i've heard that if there's no CEL i'd be ok, but i don't know for sure, so i don't wanna deal with having to remove a header later if it doesn't pass. what exactly would replacing that bpv? valve do, and would that affect the warranty? i haven't been really keeping up on this stuff since my tc got wrecked, and when i did a SC search, there was like a million posts. thanx for any info.

Well for sc what works with it is i think only the umnitza but i do belive scion is working on an intake thatll work with the sc. Duno about emissions in new york sorry no help there from me. There are pulleys out for the sc that adds 2 psi and adds 20-25 hp cost only a hunder $ sounds liek a good deal for the sc, zpi sells them they are reliable but they do remove the temper proof sticker some dealerships wont care others will. I beleive people are trying to find a way around this with heat removing the sticker not sure if this was successfully done.

Oh the stock bpv valve leaks some boost because its a really weak spring boost doenst build up as much. With the new bpv car builds more boost there for it builds boost more throughout the powerd band basicly improves the responsivness. About weather the warranty will be effected by it iam not too sure youd have to ask the dealership or ppl who got it. it costs about 60-100 dollars depends on where you get it from. You can get it froma website which youll have to find search for bosch 110 thread and itll be there or go to a saab dealership and ask for bosch 110 but itll be more expensive at the saab dealership by about 20 dollars.

Look towards my future write up in Modified Magazine as we explore everything that can be added in addition to the supercharger. We are aiming for over 250whp with a Supercharged tC - safely and reliably.

Hehe thats ll be great iam going to be looking forward to it. can you by any chance also write what the sc is capable off liek all the possibilities that can be achieved with it 300 whp?
not necesarely safely

so the umnitza intake is the only one that currently works with the sc? it seems like that intake isn't really doing much for adding power. might just get a trd filter and take off the bottom part of the stock filter like zpi did in there dyno. i've read that the pulley may shorten the life of the engine-is that true? hopefully an intake that'll work with the sc will come out soon which actually adds hp and tq. things like the nology wires, or the weapon-r ignition equalizer-will they help more when they're added on a sc, or does that not make a difference?

Well technicaly ANYTHING that you do will shorten the engine life, by how much is another question. Wil your engine blow within a year from using zpi pulleys? unlikey BUT they do produce more boost = more strain on engine but its only an up to 8-9 psi. someone on here told me that you can safely run the sc with pulleys as a daily driver

has anyone added the camcon to the supercharger? would the gains be higher on a sc'd tc than compared to a stock tc? that should also give some nice gains. i really wanna find an intake that'll work with the sc and also a header. if not, i'll have a full catback and no intake or header-just doesn't feel or sound right. hopefully i'll be getting my car by monday at the latest, and if everything works out, i'll have the sc soon after that.

I'm very curious about the Camcom as well. What it will do for a supercharged 2az.

i was looking at pics of the supercharger, and also the picture from the guy who mod'd the K&N to fit with the sc. it looks like the weapon r might fit, but i can't tell for sure. has anyone tried or looked at it closely? i wish i had kept the weapon r from my last tc so i could try installing it with the sc.

yo Kingston, that guy HighlanderMac or something like that just posted up his dyno sheets and he used the weapon R intake...he just cut it like the K&N...I got your car in the back waiting to get prepped and I will see ya tommorow finally hahaha.

Yea bro, its definitely nice...you gotta get the Bosch BPV though and put it on when you get it...I never noticed the diff cause I just had my tech put it in for me but thats a diff story :lalala:

no doubt. can the tech guys there do the same for me, or are they not going to wanna do that? have u thought about putting in the trd or k&n drop in filter until u get an intake?

Typhoon

k&n drop in showed a loss of hp so unless you want to waste your money dont get it no clue about the trd filter

i heard that when u install the supercharger, they already use the trd drop in filter. i was going to see if weapon r could fabricate an intake for me. i wish i was closer to them. what i'm going to have to do is take pictures of the intake, with a ruler next to it so they can see the dimensions, then they'll have something to work with.

i just got my creative compacts full catback with s-pipe installed. friggin perfect. sounds nice, simple install, no problems whatsoever. muffler guy charged me $40 for the entire installation. i couldn't be happier. i'm getting my supercharger on monday, and it'll be installed on tuesday. it sounds like i have a deeper trd exhaust on, but it actually gives u a hp gain as well. best of both worlds. this is the right exhaust-hands down.

I'm considering the CC exhaust as well. Please update us after you get the supercharger. Also, do you have a header?

yellot00tr
12-17-2005, 09:56 PM
don't have a header. i don't know if i'm gonna end up getting one now that the supercharger is gonna be installed on tuesday. not enough time to get one and install it before the supercharger comes. i'm really annoyed that there's no intake for the sc yet. seems kinda retarded to have an exhaust and no intake or header. might actually get the umnitza just for now-although i'm not sure it'll fit with the redline hood lift-which i just got as well, but don't feel like getting rid of. decisions decisions decisions.

Yellot00tr, I know what you mean about the intake. Im gonna hold off until we get one designed for the s/c. I hope its available soon  . Congrats on the exhaust. Im lookin at CC, Draxas, and ZPI. Im curious to see which exhaust works best w/ the s/c. Which muffler did you get? Did you get the resonator? high flow cat? Stainless or aluminized? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just very curious about which parts to get.

yellot00tr
12-18-2005, 02:15 AM
no resonator, i went stainless for everything including the s-pipe. i also got the high flow cat, and borla muffler. if i could do it again, i'd maybe only change to a flowmaster muffler-just to be different i guess. that's the only one i haven't heard. a lil while ago i was actually thinking about getting the blitz nur-spec muffler to replace the borla. that thing sounded sweeeeet on the dezod guy's tc. u really can't go wrong with CC though. i had a horrobile time dealing with draxas. as far as zpi goes, i had all types of issues with their s-pipe and getting it to fit, paying to ship it back, etc etc. it was so annoying, and got expensive. it basically ended up costing me like $100 more for that s-pipe in expenses. i will say this though-zpi gave me a free 02 sim for my troubles, but since i have no header, that didn't really help me out much. also not a fan of the slanted exhaust. there is def a power gain on the CC-it's not a psychological gain. if there was a dyno around my area i'd def look into getting numbers on this exhaust. once i get the sc installed, i'll let u know how what i think. i'm just wondering if the sc will change the sound very much. ryno-have u looked into the magnaflow catback? doesn't have a hi-flow cat, but u can def add one to it. my only prob with the CC is that it's expensive. with the s-pipe u're talking almost a $1000. $775 with hi-flow cat and stainless steel, and then the stainless steel s-pipe. if they lowered the price, it'd be the perfect exhaust.

Thanks for all the info. I've heard about the fitment problems on the ZPI S pipe. I would probably avoid the Flowmaster muffler, no logical reason, its just a little too pushrod V8ish for me. I've heard a lot of good about Borla and Magnaflow, but nothing about the Magnaflow cat-back for the tC. Please post back after you get the s/c on.

i just got back from dropping the car off. hopefully it'll be ready tonight. i need to finish-actually, start my x-mas shopping. i have the bosch 110 valve here and waiting, and i'm gonna order the nst pulley i think. if someone just made an intake for this thing, i'd be so happy. i may have weapon r fabricate me something. the only problem with that is they're in cali, i'm in ny, so to do it, i'm gonna have to take out the stock intake and hold a ruler to it and take pics so they can have measurements. the weapon r intake was great, so that's why i'm hoping they can fab something for me. it'll be exactly the same material as the regular secret weapon, just the size has to change. they're supposed to be working on one already that'll go with the sc and also the cold air box, but i don't want to wait for it to come out. i need to have it asap.

I think Tom Petty said it best: "The waaaiting is the hardest part". It sounds like ZPI will have an intake ready fairly soon  .

i just got back from the dealership-supercharger is in. the thing is def sweet, i just haven't really driven the car that hard yet. i have less that 700 miles on the car right now, so i figure until the break in period, i won't really try and push it over 4500rpms. the service guys did tell me that there's a little bit of an exhaust leak by the s-pipe, so i have to get that dealt with. overally, i couldn't be happier with the supercharger though. next week i'll pull out the intake and measure it for weapon r, hopefully they'll be willing to make me an intake.

I bet you can't wait to run it. I put the 1st 1,000 miles on mine fast just so I could get the break-in done. How does the exhaust sound now?

yellot00tr
12-24-2005, 07:02 PM
the exhaust still sounds good-the service guys told me that it sounds a little loud because the exhaust leak. i gotta take it to my muffler place on monday or tuesday and have them fix that. i ordered the forge 007, but i'm gonna try and have the bosch put in until that gets here. i'm also gonna put in the mmw engine damper kit this coming week. too many things to do. it's just such a pain in the butt cuz i can't do most of this stuff myself right now.
