khm?
ur not from kansas!
JDM vehicles have excessive speed warning beepers that beep annoyingly at speeds over 105km/h. This might be something of that sort.
140km/h=87MPH. I hope the road is smooth and straight!

yah, its probably a buzzer type module like the one for your door being open when the key is on. just find it and remove it!
glad that one JDM feature we don't have over here. :D

watch initial D....you may notice in some of the racing scenes the 86 is giving off this little "ding dong" noise...that's the speed sensor. Lucky for us it's only JDM because it would annoy the hell out of me.

I've checked my speedo closely and find that it reads a few percent high with stock everything. This is normal, as manufacturers don't want customers mad because they got tickets due to pessimistic speedometers.
An easy way to check the speedometer is to get a handheld GPS and compare its speed reading to the speedometer. GPS will generally be within 1MPH of the true speed. You could also find a friendly cop with a radar gun. Don't trust the "your speed is" roadside displays as they tend to read a bit high.

try cutting the purple w/ white stripe wire at the fuse panel. that should be the speed sensor wire.
**note: this is only for reference and not intended to be 100% accurate. Use a voltage meter before proceeding with any modifications**

Put a SPST switch in-line and you have the option of turning it on/off when you want, or attach it to your key start wire and you can have it do it automatically..
Enjoy..
I am waiting for my Xb to come in.. Can't Wait..
