Thanks for the warm welcome...... especially since I'm physically 47 yrs. old (but as the cliche' goes ''YOUNG AT HEART"). After my wife & I watched Monster Garage we went to the web and in a matter of hours this and other sites convinced us that if we didn't persue this further we would certainly be missing something. Long story short..... local test drive (Silver) .... no Hot Lavas....kept looking.... found one about 2 hrs. away and put a deposit over the phone...... I don't even know the number!! We just know that (so far) it has been a great buying experience as well as a great car at a great price!! It's an Automatic........ yea i know ..... slower,,,, but hey it works for us! We had planned on a PT Cruiser ....but all that changed..... looking forward to some mods, as I've been a "gearhead" all my life...... dated term huh?? I mess around with a 64 Galaxie XL, a 54 chevy 5 window P/U, and a chopped 56 Mercury 2 dr. hdtp..... Too many projects!!1
