As a Scion owner, I take pride in my car and fellow owners. Yet, I have noticed on many posts, that grammar and cohesion is unacceptable. I want to challenge others to take time, and review their statements before they're posted. Thanks….

Yet, I have noticed on many posts, that grammar and cohesion is unacceptable.

When you begin a sentence with a coordinating conjunction, you do not put a comma after it. However, had you used "however" instead of "yet," a comma would have been appropriate. The use of a comma before "that" is uneccessary as well.

I want to challenge others to take time, and review their statements before they're posted.

The second part of this compound sentence has a predicate but no subject. You can correct this by simply removing the comma.

Thanks….

This is an improper use of an ellipse.

:P

 Just playin! I know what you mean. On the internet, it seems everything we learned in 6th grade goes out the window! Guilty of it myself....haha

Try that site, what's it called?¿? Grammar.com or something like that, I hear those people really care. This however is a typical forum with plenty of grammar and spelling issues that are just fine by me. So stfu and lol a little at the posts.

The use of a comma before "that" is uneccessary as well.

It is necessary to include both letter Ns in unnecessary. :P

stankubric: If you didnt need to look up what you said about his incorrect grammer my hat goes off to you. I wanna know what school you went to seeing as it says your from SF. Also living in the bay area my education lacked the part where I was educated.

Stankubrick caught just about all the grammatical errors. There's a couple subjective errors as well, such as usage of the passive voice. . .

But I'm just nitpicking, and I make a billion mistakes as well. I TOTALLY agree with you and sympathize 100%. It's hard not to pick on you though, as you did make a ton of mistakes on a post complaining about grammar. I'd hope that you'd be extra careful!

Butt? eye think; its fun knee how! every-one type's like, their' in forth greyed

I deal with words (body copy and typography specifically) all day long, so I have to know a little grammar. I'm no expert, but I'm proud to say that I didn't have to look up "ellipse." :)

I went to St. Robert's in San Bruno then high school and college in Sacramento. As far as SF education goes, I know a few Lowell dudes and they suck at grammar - maybe it's because they're all Asian... haha (SATs are ethnically biased Yo!) hahah

While sentence structure bothers me a little, I'd much rather see words spelled correctly. All the abbreviations and slang make you seem, well, uneducated. That's not exactly what I want people thinking of me.

I could careless if my grammer is proper or not, if you can understand what I'm saying I don't see what's the problem. First you get harassed by the po-po's now we gotta duck and hide from the grammer police? Get real.
