has anyone heard anything about supercharger intercoolers from TRD yet? is this stuff even for real? looks as if the supercharger retained its stock position and routed the air to the top-mount water intercooler, then into the intake manifold.

other detail i noticed from the second picture in my post, looks like this tC has the "tuner concept" badging as seen on some post. also, check the "sponsors" on the side-skirt- "AEM" seems to be on it... possibly an intake for the supercharger as well? i mean, what other decent item could they place on this car?

and on a side note [because it's not related to "forced induction"]: i'm not too much of a fan of this pedestal spoiler, flashy paint job, lambo doors, or pink wheels. i wonder who's car this is.

yeah. i know the topic was discussed, but i didn't see actual pictures in those discussions.

but if the pictures are a repost, i apologize, and therefore would reccomend locking this thread.

on a side note: the search feature actually worked for me... returning 100+ threads though.

I just called TRD, who knows if they really know anything when you are talking to those phone reps.. but the guy said something along the lines of

"yea we made a prototype, but we're not sure if its going to come out.. check back within 6months and we might know something more"

So i don't know if any of you guys have a real "inside" into TRD to get some good info, but thats what i got when i called the 800 number.

what i want to know is who made the prototype for them ???

the only other future intercooler i can consider is the PWR liquid to air barrel. But im not even sure if the 4x6 kit will fit the length of the charge pipe

hahah

seriously now.. why not make a simple front mount system.. wouldnt that be a lot easier?

That IC looks pretty nice, no long pipes and excesive bends to reduce efficiency, and very nice for the "sleeper" look :eyebrow:

i have no experience with IC piping but if u look at where the charge pipe and intake pipe is positioned its just hard to route the pipe in the front.

i like liquid to air since its not fully dependent on ambient air to cool it down.
