Either way you are pushing the wheels out further than stock. +35 will be more flush the the +38...but its just 3mm...not all that noticeable. Im going +35 when get my rims but more for BBK clearancee and the fact they only have the wheels I want in +35 or +45

Do you guys think that a 45 offset on a 18"-8" wheel will be sitting too far in the wheel well? Ive been looking into this wheel i want but thats the only offset offered. Also what would be the best tire size for an 18-8?

Thanks!

You can use this calculator to see what the wheel offset will change:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

it looks like it will extend the outer lip by approx 13mm which will set it out quite a bit further than stock.

You can also use their tire size calculator to check on tires

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Something in a 225 or 235 in a 35 series will probably work well.

A 235/35-18 will be about as close to stock overall diameter as you can get.

Let me ask you this. If you have a 17"-8" wheel with a 45 it would be the same as a 18"-8" with a 45 offset right? Like as far as having the wheel tucked in. Cause there are 2 guys on here that have this same rim but 17"-8" with a 45-46 offset and they say it sits flush???

No..an 8" wheel with a +45 offset will stick out 13mm further on either side than a 7" wheel with a +45 offset. Remeber you have 1" of extra wheel to work with.

You can see the numbers by typing the dimensions on the wheel offest calcualtor here: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

I knew that a 7" wide wheel compared to a 8" wide wheel would be different but My question is if it matters if its a 18"-8" or a 17"-8" Both being 8" wide?

Thanks For the help! IM a first timer with this wheel stuff

It will end up being about 1/2" taller than the stock setup. Im not too sure about the clearance with you being on S-Techs..You may want to PM some people that have those springs with 18s and see if they have any problems.

On EBAY someone is selling STERN brand 18x8.5 rims, has anybody gone this wide? And does it require a wide-body kit?
