Watch the region's best freeskiers and snowboarders battle it out for the title of West Virginia State Champ in disciplines like Slopestyle, Boarder / Skier Cross and a $5,000 Village Rail competition. It's going to be a winter weekend not to miss!

SCION will be on the mountain all weekend long displaying their full line of vehicles, handing out tons of goodies and presenting a huge after party complete with live entertainment under the Big Top.

Sweet! I know Tavis from Waldorf is going and Courtney from Dar Cars also won the trip. There are 22 Scion "Champions" that qualified and in NOVA, only me and the guy from Koons Tysons made it. In MD, you have 355, Dar Cars, Younger, Waldorf, Koons Annapolis and Timonium.

From the sounds of the invitation, it looks like there will be some sort of round table with Owner's Club reps, Scion muckity-mucks and dealers. Beyond that, I say the NOVA and Metro DC area Scionlife members meet up at some point.

For those that won trips, what activitiy did you select for Saturday? My GF and I are taking the snowmobile trip. The last time I skied was when I was 20 and I blew out my knee and had to be taken off the mountain on a stretcher. Yeah, I learned to ski when I was 6 and was a West Coast black diamond skier, but I'm getting too old for that crap. Give me a seat and a two stroke engine and I'll be happy.

its a tour, u drive around the area/wilderness,etc.
they USUALLY take you to an open spot and let you rip/go nuts on the machines for a lil bit.

I'm jazzed to see so much excitement out there about this event! Just to make a few things clear - we WILL have a VIP parking lot for all Scion's. It is next to the main lift area, where Scion will have a huge display all weekend, so your rides will be visible to nearly 6000 attendees of the event! If you show your Scion key, you get a free lift ticket for the day. Rooms are tough to come by, from what they are telling me, they are at about 97% capacity right now for the weekend. The highlight of the WV Open i the Village Rail Competition on Saturday at 5PM. Very X-games type boarding event - should be cool.
Those of you joining us as our VIP guests, you will not forget this trip! I just spent two days at the resort checking and double-checking everything, and we are set.
Be looking in the mail in about a week for some more info about the event, including a resort map and your room assignments. I checked all the rooms personally, and they are PHAT!
Stu - you hold the tourney, I'll bring the prizes!!

Well, as the owner of a Toyota Tundra, I was going to bring that. It seemed to make the most sense considering the geography. However, I just got my Scion demo back from the sign shop. This tC is now covered with my dealer's advertising. It will be impossible to miss. It would be a shame not to use the ad space at an event like this.

You'll all know when I show up. The car is nothing spectacular, but that ain't no way to miss it.

Yeah I got it to work like the day after PJ freaked out about it. The noise cancellor had crapped out. I simply removed it and it worked fine after that.

In fact, youre leaps and bounds cooler than my GSMs. The fact that youre into Scions automatically makes you better cause they still see Scions as an annoyance. Four more and I just got my demo ready to roll. I took our TRAC car and updated it a bit. it already had the pedestal spoiler, fog lights, b-pillar applique', mats and i-pod stereo. I added the tail lights by TYC, subwoofer, XM radio and amber LED lights. It also spent some time at the sign shop so it has our logo and contact info plastered all over it. You can't miss it.

I'm really psuched about the stereo. The combination of the XM with the sub is awesome. Maybe you audiophiles can do better aftermarket, but for me, its as good as I can imagine. Seriously, it reminds me of the first time I saw HDTV. Its had to make your braing believe its as clear as it is.

So, I'll be driving to WV, with my stereo pounding out my "classic alternative" music on channel 44. Listen for me... I'm sure you'll hear Oingo Boingo long before you see me. (bonus points for anybody who actually knows who Oingo Boingo is)

Seriously, I just had a bunch of dealer graphics put on our TRAC car and installed a subwoofer, XM radio, TYC tail lights and amber LEDs. The TRAC car is getting the miles for me.

The xB is really good on snow and ice. An xB trying to get up the mountain might be another issue. The lack of cruise control is going to make things a bit uncomfortable as well before you hit the mountains.

WOW!!!! Deff one of the best weekends of my life! Thank you Dan, Dana, Earl, Alex, Dawn (and everyone eles i didnt mention), Scion is amazing!!!

The rail comp was kool.. seeing that guy bust his arse alot was funny too like dave's pic shows. Im still trying to put all the stuff away and get back to neutral before i post up some of my pics.

It was nice to meet all the people i never met before, as well as chill with the ones i already knew

I cant believe I just found this thread! This was a crazy event!! I'm glad to have met some really cool people from around the region.
Thanks to Dan and the rest of the cat team for hosting a sweet weekend. My wife and I had an awesome time!!!

Hell of a good time guys. As far as the SWAG goes, this was as good as it gets. Scion really did it up right for us.

Things I leaned this weekend:

1. Tango's car has gas.
2. Tavis needs a comb.
3. Nos goes extremely well with Vodka but makes waking up in the morning a real challenge.
4. Nos on the rocks in the morning will make recovery from #3 a lot easier.
5. I look like Mel Gibson in profile.
6. 37 is older than 50.

in freaking credable is all i can say! the people and the cars! The Nos and vodka enough said there! The amazing atmosphere Whew! need i say more?
There were many things to be learned!
1. not only does tango's car have gas it flashes blinks and tweets at you especially if you come too close
2. Chad is not great at falling down
3. Veruca Salt is not the band you want to listen to when still nursing a headache!
4. The people from Scion worked their butts off for this event!
5. I realy enjoyed meeting all the new people
6. I really just love the community and the Brand

I've got to say, I liked Veruca Salt. Then again, I like dark, 80's style music and while she's more of a 90's group, the style was right up my alley. Having said that, I was really wishing I had ear plugs. I'm aleady nearly deaf in my left ear and this just about finished that off and made good progress on killing my right ear!

wow, I was at the club saturday. I must not have been paying much attention. Well, at that point i was having some trouble focusing on each step I took let alone things going on around me...

After hearing the stories about Friday night at Connections, I decided to give it a shot on Saturday. Unfortunately, my girlfriend had a tooth ache and couldn't come. So... I was standing around not attempting to pick up strange women and waiting 30 minutes to get a single drink. It was just too crowded for me and I wussed out. From what I hear, Friday was the night to be there.

I had been planning on coming up since Xmass with some friends. I did not find out that Scion was doing anything untill Friday before I came up. It was sweet. I drove my XB up to the mountain from the cabin.

Steve, the xB did quite well going up the mountains. That was the best drive I've been on in a long time. I felt bad for the people that were in front of us. Had quite a few of them get ____ed off and just pull of the side of the road.

It was a spectacular time being up there. Seeing all the familiar faces, meeting new people, finally meeting most of the people on here. I was glad to see all the Scion owners and club prez's up there giving thoughts and ideas.

Thank you Earl, Dana, Dan, Alex (damn Chinese New Years...j/k), all the Toyota and Scion National reps. Had a great time. Hope to have the chance to do this again.

Im hoping to get over to bear creek on the 7th cuz Im off @ 2pm on Tuesdays. It would be cool if you could make it. If not then we could go on a Sunday or something.

I can almost definately do that. I have off on Tuesdays so that should work for me without an issue. I just have to get new bindings before then cause last time I used the ones I have a cracked them both. They were cheap anyway so I wasnt worried about it. O to those of you who know Chad his story to me was "I was going down the slope and all the sudden a grizzly bear came out of nowhere and i had to out run it." But then he told me bout the whole falling in the parking thing. I didnt know it was Tangos fault... never knew she could be like that. wow.

he didnt want to make tango look bad so he had to make up some stories. do u think his grizzly bear story is real??? and do u think hes dumb enough to just fall for no reason??? The real reason is TANGO!
