I snapped this pic at the Toyota of Des Moines Show last summer. Don't know anything about it, just got the picture. Hope it helps.

 

That's Danny Smith's ride. Much of it done at Accurate here in Ames. All graphics are paint and it's done very well. Lots of good stuff to come on that ride too.

Here he is at the Cedar Rapids Calendar Search Show this past Summer:





Danny took home a spot in the calendar (I'm not sure if that ever materialized, but it was a nice recognition anyway). It's a nice car and Danny knows what he's doing with it (he's done a few cars before).

I'm glad to hear that he's been spotted recently. We haven't heard from him since the Des Moines show!

ya as far as that calander griz last i heard they were fighting with the guy that was going to make so i havent heard anything since and ya ill leave comments up to the rest of SL as i have no comment about the car

 

I never heard about the final choices for the calendar. Who all got selected and can we expect to see it soon?

 

um im not sure as far as all the other cars, it was only this xb that got selected, alot of people that were in that show werent happy about the judging and car selection and im not talking about scion people there im talking about some of the local cedar rapids people. Alot of the calender selection was based on cars that really stood out so you had to have chrome rims. (not kidding about that) hopefully its run alittle bit better next year, to there credit though it was there first show. and ya i know nothing new of the calendar ill let you know when i do

I really can't remember who was chosen beyond Danny, but I think the guy with the van made it and a couple of the bikes too.

The callendar cars were chosen independantly of the show winners entirely at the whim of the promoter. That's what caused the controversey IMO.

Anyway, if they do the show again next year, you better believe we'll be back!
